Excel spreadsheets on that screen? You'd be better off with the older P series - the 800 even!

Or stick to your Atom, ye old cixelsyd

I did excel on my Palm T3 before i got the Atom. remmeber i only view i do not need to edit. having the ability to edit is nice however.

The Atom dont have a numeric keypad
990 screen is 41 x 56 mm Atom is 2.7" about a 12mm difference.

coz I guess P910i has keyboard on teh flip and P900 dont have one on the flip.

I think teh P990 has wider screen compared to p910i but slightly shorter one. And the keyboard below the screen is better as the P910i keyboard breaks somewher near middle due to constant use.( some keys on my P910i dont work coz of this and a replacement keyboard costs 2500Rs)

@ Rtech; 35k for P990 is a good price.

Not exactly backwards, but not enough of an improvement to warrant the high price. The only thing significantly better is the camera and wifi.

I'd say the improvement of the 990i over the 910i would only be about 5-10% and to me it just does not warrant the huge asking price.

Am awaiting the official launch of SE P990 and Nokia N73.
The approx price difference between N73 and P990 is around 10 - 15K.
Is P990 really worth 35K?

Just for a comparo between the screens for the 910 and the 990.

The improvement from the p910 is certainly a lot more than the camera and wifi. Have a look at this device. You'll agree to what I have said.

And why are people still comparing it with the p910 in the first place. It has been long discontinued and is only available in the grey market/used.

I know this is a real old thread..hoping someone would read and respond though! In today's paper they are advertising p990i for 20.5k from Indiatimes shopping. Is the phone still a good phone to buy and more importantly, is Indiatimes reliable? (I had read some horror stories about ppl ordering there Treos from Indiatimes)
