Now checked the Samsung website which shows as 2 HDMI Ports?

See below screenshot:

There is only one port which is an out port. I checked the product box and the product itself.
Cheers
Hello everyone,
I’m currently in the process of converting my living room (16 x 12 feet) into a home theater setup. I’ll primarily be using it to watch 4K Blu-ray movies with 7.1 Dolby Atmos audio and to listen to film music across various languages (Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, and English).
I have a budget of around 1.5 lakh INR for the sound system. Here’s the setup I’m considering.
AVR
Make : YAMAHA
Model : RX-V6A 01
Price: Rs. 65,000
TOWER SPEAKERS
Make : YAMAHA
Model : NS 8390
Price: Rs. 12,000 per speaker
CENTER WITH SURROUND SPEAKER
Make : YAMAHA
Model: NS P51
Price: Rs. 16,000
SUBWOOFER
Make : YAMAHA
Model : NSSW100
Price: Rs. 24,000
ATMOS SPEAKER
Rs. 10,000 per speaker
I’d appreciate any expert opinions or advice.
Thank you

I'm no expert but here is my suggestion.
I sampled quite a few brands ranging from Taga Harmony, JBL, Jamo, etc. and ended up buying
this. My budget was slightly lower than yours.
My suggestion is to ditch the Yamaha sub and go with JBL. I found the Yamaha sub very weak and the bass was very "empty" and the unit was struggling to deliver punchy bass.
Here are a couple of JBL subs you can consider:
1.
https://hometheatreexperts.in/produc...ered-subwoofer - this is what I have and it is more than enough. It runs at -2 loudness and is more than sufficient. IIRC, the max loudness setting on this is +12
2.

Try the JBL sub before you put your money down. It is miles ahead of the Yamaha sub. The floor standing and center-surround yamaha speakers are very good value for money. Hope you sampled the audio quality before deciding on these.
All the best and enjoy your setup.

Sir,
Thank you for your prompt response.
May I ask why you chose the Onkyo TX-SR494 (7.2CH AVR) over a similar Yamaha model (like the one I mentioned above), especially considering all your speakers are from Yamaha?
I also auditioned the setup I mentioned in my previous post, but to be honest, I wasn’t very impressed. The installation team suggested it might be due to poor tuning, though I’m not sure how true that is.
I have gone with following setup in my living room (16x22). This is a decent setup in budget constraints:
- Denon AVR-1700H
- Optoma EH-335 Projector
- Polk Fusion T-Series T-50
- Polk T-30 Center Speaker
- Polk T-50 Floor Standing Speaker
- Polk T15 Bookshelf Speaker
- Polk RC-60I ceiling speaker
- Polk PSW-111 150W Subwoofer
- 133" Motorized Screen

Call me Aditya, no need for sir :)
The demo I sampled had the same Onkyo AVR which I ended up buying. I was confused between Denon and Onkyo but went with Onkyo as per online reviews and recommendations which included after sales support feedback in India. That said, the Yamaha AVR has a LOT more features. Enjoy your setup :thumbs up
Hello everyone,
I am setting up a home theater in the living room of my apartment. The room dimensions are about 13' X 15'. I don't have room or scope for floor standing speakers.
I am considering the following set ups. I would really appreciate your help in shortlisting these choices. These are listed in the order of my preference.
1.
SVS Prime Satellite 5.1 System which comes with the much acclaimed SB-1000 Pro sub.
This system + the receiver, I am getting it for 1.68 lakhs.
2.
Focal Sib Evo Dolby Atmos 5.1.2
Cost of the speaker system is 72,000 + 43000 for the receiver.
3.
Monitor MASS Audio 5.1
Other systems also under consideration:
1.
Q Acoustics 7000i
2.
Klipsch reference theater pack 5.1
These speakers will be powered by the
Denon AVR-X1800H receiver.
Any other speakers systems / AVR that I can consider?
Any good dealers, who can provide me with better prices?
What comes to my mind is the all those Cars which did not had a good sound system from the factory, gave us the opportunity to splurge on the customize sound system setups
Starting with Korean brands and Tata/Mahindra providing an great factory sound system in the overall package starting mid variants+ is good deal for a buyer.
IMO, if you have going all into a private home theater setup with a dedicated room all of that equipment makes sense.
While I understand the requirements for a high quality surround sound systems for a living room, am thinking why not the Samsung 990QD/XL 11.1.4 channel w/ sub which has received a good reviews all across for being consistent at all levels.
When we think of a typical living room, the wireless soundbar w/ sub supporting dolby atmos makes aesthetic and sound wise a good bet isn't it?
What is it that I am not following here? please suggest.
Also think of portability if you have to shift the setup to another room or a new place.

You can check with Elite Cinema, Kasturi Nagar
Dinesh (9945811979) / Kiran (9964676452)
Other dealers such as Smarttving (HSR Layout), The Home Theater Store (Lavelle Road), Audio Planet (Near St Jones) deals on 4-5L+ budget, but it's better to take quotations.

Hi, i really don't know if this is the right thread for this thing but I really needed to ask. I have an old Binatone sound system that my grandfather bought around 20 years ago, with two big(Ahuja size) speakers and two small ones.
One problem is that, the main controller which these things plugged into got fried and the local electric repair guys said they couldn't fix it because the parts weren't available or something.
Now, I want to find a new controller which can power these 4 speakers and we can plug our devices in through an aux cable or wtv it is. Asking for help and advice regarding how we can go about this.
Attaching pics below-
There are two of each of these speakers attached below. Attachment 2482502 Attachment 2482503
Thanks in advance |
Is this still available with you? I have been offered the same model by a dealer; if you had finalised an amp for this, can you share the details? Also if possible the model number of this speaker
Got the Sony Bravia Theatre Bar 8 (HT-A8000) to pair with a Sony Bravia 3 55" TV for the parents' living room.
The main reason to go with the Sony Soundbar was the ease of functionality along with the Sony TV. The 360 Spatial Sound Mapping and the Sound Field Optimisation are good features and deliver holistic sound across the living room. Considering the parents are not into action-heavy content etc, this is working well for them; hence only the soundbar is enough without the need for rear speakers or the subwoofer.
If I had to nitpick however, I felt that the sound quality on the Sonos Beam Gen 2 was a tad better and at a lesser cost too, even better than the Bose 600.

Big fan of Sonos (Have the full set-up).
if budget is available, I would not look at anything but, SONOS for all my home audio needs.
