@Manson, for my requirements, I dont see any point in spending that much on a phone. Even if I did, the 13MP ZL is not able to match the 8-MP Samsung S3.

Nokia seems to be leading the field in cameras one can talk into. Sony, an experienced manufacturer of actual cameras, that one can't talk into, ought to find it easy and I'm disappointed to hear that this is not the case.

Yes, sir. I have shot far more with my C905 than with my SLR. I used to joke that I make calls on my camera. But sadly, almost every single phone in the Xperia range seems to have lost the picture.

Sony ZL... barring a tiny software glitch, the phone is simply awesome.

Test pic from GSMArena.com:

Even if scale down the ZL image to 8MP, it is still the same.

Was looking out for a phone for my wife to replace her Samsung Galaxy Ace. In the end I had narrowed it down to a choice between the Nexus 4 and the Sony Xperia ZR. Being a galaxy Nexus user myself, I was leaning towards the N4 but the thing that held me back was the glass back on the phone. My wife has dropped her Ace quite a few times and I was sure that the rear glass of the N4 would not have lasted long.

So I ordered the ZR from Flipkart today using the 10% cash back offer on Citibank credit cards. Phone costs Rs. 27,999/- and after cash back that would work out to Rs. 25,200/- which is around the same price as the N4. Of course, the N4 is available with the cash back offer too.

I have Xperia SP and my sister has Xperia Z, having used SE phones in the past, I'm disappointed.
W810 with 2mp camera was a better shooter.

Samsung and Lumias have better camera.

I beg to disagree on the views for the Xperia camera quality. The pictures in this thread are taken with the Xperia SL and I think the colors are even more vibrant than with my Sony H50 digicam....

Some more shots taken near my house at Vasai with the Xperia SL. Would love to hear comments...

^^ so are these pics direct result from the stock camera app with no filter ?

Xperia L pics - a couple of them based on request. I got these from my BIL. These are taken around 6 PM on an overcast day at a small waterfall.
I don't own the phone.

The best camera phone (808 pureview) was available around Rs. 14000 a few weeks ago. I know this is an Android thread, but still ....

I would specifically like to ask if anyone has bought high end android mobiles from WS retail through flipcart. They are having an offer this week. Reading reviews of "ws retail" on flipcart, some comments were discouraging.

I was looking at the S3 ,S4 and nexus 4 in that order or priority. Thanks.

WSRetail is nothing but Flipkart. They are selling under this name now. Go ahead, its an awesome 10% cashback offer.

If they are same as Flipkart, I wonder why they refuse to make delivery to Noida pincodes?

Shankyz: Based on their past experience they dont ship costlier items to few places. There was a recent news item on this. Dont remember, you can google it.

There was some issue about shipping to UP, in that, they refused to so items above 10k to the state via COD. I don't think there would be a problem is the item is already paid for.

Check the pics taken with my 3 year old C905.

The C905 was released more than 4 years ago, and I think it had a better cam even at that time, than what the Xperia series has now. After seeing the picture quality in the 750i, the k810i, and then the C905, I was expecting even better pic's. But sadly, the Xperia looks to have taken a step back at least. The problem seems to be with all Xpeia's today.

Take GSMarena with a pinch of salt :)

I have a Xperia ZR, Wife has S3, Dad has S4.

S3 is better in some cases, ZR is better in some.
In sunlight, the S3 and S4 are great.
Indoor lighting without flash, Samsung are useless.
Macro (close up) for Sony is much better.
Auto focus in Sony is better.
