What a fantastic device. I just can't understand how they can sell it so cheap. Almost everybody reckoned the phone would be a 20K+ device (the branding is very discreet).

how's the audio quality? any complaints by others?

A quick one -For the Data Connection on my htc One CDMA or Reliance do I set it to CDMA or LTE/CDMA?

In your case setting to CDMA has an advantage as network search time and power requirement will reduce every time you go out of coverage and move back in. Basically LTE bands will be skipped.

Since India has TS-LTE , most probably LTE in your phone is of no use even if your operator comes up with LTE it will always camp on CDMA here.

That explains actually we have been using European open Note 3 for quite some time on Airtel 3G with default images but seeing your last post I thought may be production devices are different.
So this just seems to be be a crude attempt to stop grey market imports.

Guys,

As you all may be aware that CATCH NOTES has been taken off from Google Play store.
Any other app that you guys can suggest which works in similar pattern?

Regards,

Try Using Evernote. It works almost the same way. Please check out the site and let us know if you think this is same or almost close to what you used.

If I have an android tablet and a phone - can I use the same gmail id for setting it up? I am not checking my gmail email from either device - this is just the gmail id android requires for setting up the phone, play store etc. The same person may not be using the 2 devices - all may need different apps. Will there be a problem in using the same google id or should I use a different one?

There will not be any issue, as under the same ID's in play store different devices will start reflecting and you can choose separate sets of applications for both of them.

I have an android phone -Xperia M and a tablet -nexus 7, both with nfc. I tried to connect them via nfc. But so far they don't connect with each other. Can some one help me out.

There is a video on youtube explaining how to connect Xperia to Samsung s3. Check out the video and try the same on Nexus 7 tablet.

Thanks. I have already tried what is shown there, but the option of touch to beam, doesn't get displayed after I bring them back to back. Has someone here tried this?
Please provide your valuable inputs.

I meant audio quality esp on conference calls. Do others complain they can't hear you well enough?

My wife has the same phone and it did have a problem of low mic volume. I saw a video of a guy fixing the voice issue on youtube (just search "xolo fix") and that solved the problem. Now there is no issue with audio quality.

Cheers!!!

What would be a good phone to buy there ( for me - to use here in India ) like around $200~250.
I have a Dell Streak now (going strong with custom CM ROM with 1 day battery backup), and no particular reason I am looking for an upgrade.
But - will consider if it is today's spec'ed phone + good price delta (US price - India price )

Nexus 4 is what I have on mind. (but it shows sold out!! is it so?)
any thing better out there?

Thank you,

Ace.

Try for the Nexus 4 on Bestbuy, Amazon, etc. It's an awesome phone. Nexus 5 could be better, but that'll be out towards the end of the year!
