I also tried using hangouts as the default app but no go.
I have tried factory reset and that did not help either.

Any clues?

It must be due to corrupted SMSC code (Phone number of SMS Center). Reason for corruption is unknown, some times due to system updates!

You can try manually resetting by doing following steps (Following XDA link) ...

1. On phone dialer type *#*#4636#*#*.
2. Tap Phone information.
3. Scroll down to SMSC.
4. Try "Refresh" option

Try sending SMS.

If it still doesn't work, get the SMS Center phone number of relevant service provider.

Go to link PDU encoder, get your SMSC number encoded

Re-do above steps. In Step 4 enter encoded SMSC number and use Update
option.

Once done it should be possible to get SMS sent from troubled device.

Thanks guys, i have unchecked all boxes in broadcast window so hopefully it should work now. This was not Jio specific as i am on vodaphone.

In the same range do look at Lenovo K6 Power. Seems you are a Moto fan just like me, this K6 seems to have some soul of the Moto's software.

Yes, after reading about Lenovo K6 Power, I am more confused between Moto G Play, Moto E3 Power, and Lenovo K6 Power.

The specs of K6 Power- FHD Display, 32 GB Internal, 3GB Ram, 13MP Main Camera, 8MP Second. Camera Snapdragon 430 Processor, 4000 mah Battery at 9999/- is tempting.
Hence could not figure out which one to go for Moto G Play, Moto E3 Power, Lenovo K6 Power?

Based on my experience with Moto G3(mom), Lenovo vibe K5 plus(mom) and Moto G4 (colleague), I would say go for Lenovo. Moto phones, IMO , are overpriced for what they offer.

Let me confuse you a bit more:

Check out Lenovo Z2 plus in Snapdeal at just 11999/-, 32 gb variant.

Finally got the phone today, 64GB Midnight Black. Stoked.

Thank you so much. That worked (not the refresh but getting the SMSC from the helpline). Also, the PDU encoder was not required.

Congrats! Could you please share a picture of how it looks from the back?

Thanks :)

Congrats.
I also handled it at samsung cafe store last week. It's just superb. The screen is damn gorgeous and wallpaper was to simply brilliant.
I was considering it as my wife's phone was due for replacement.
But was disappointed with price and problems which are already popping up worldwide like screen tint, easy screen scratches, stuttering etc.

Bought iPhone 7 256gb for this time.
but I might buy it for myself once I get confidence.

Ah, my version didn't seem to have that tint. Samsung did release an update for it as well. Not to mention there are tons of settings that can be played with to change the color temperature of the screen and it can be worked around I believe.

As of now, I think all the Indian versions of the phone seem fine. Price yes, a little on the higher side considering it is manufactured here and I think they could have gone little lower.

As for the stuttering, the OS and their skin seem very fluid from what I've seen or used so far. Nothing for me to point out or complain about.

I don't use screen guards, so I use the care screen and never had major issues with any of my previous smartphones so far. However, there will be those minor scratches over it no matter how careful you are when you go all naked.

Yeah here, I took some for you along with the case that I purchased. I usually don't use a case for my phone either but for this I got it in case I'm going out that might need some protection. This Spigen case is built very nice, flexible and seems solid overall for protection.

As for the phone, it is a fingerprint magnet on the back, especially the Midnight black.

Snagged one gold colored Redmi 4A today from the amazon sale. Will use it till the Oneplus 5 becomes available in a few months:)

When I checked the price on Snapdeal yesterday, it was not below Rs. 14999/-. Also many reviews (@488) were 1Star.Also it does not have expandable storage as well as is way over my budget of 10000/-.

Also does K6 Power suffer from Mic Issues?

Please suggest good phone that has good camera, 32 GB internal storage, preferably dual sim, 4G Volte.

Please do not suggest Flash Sale Phones such as Xiaomi phones.

If the Mic Issues in Lenovo K6 Power are sorted out, I would go with it. Else suggest other phone.

i got it very easily today with a chrome plug in. It adds the item automatically to the cart and you can just click the payment. Preloading the cash into the wallet helps greatly. With two clicks my transaction was done.

Previously I had time to waste for such Flash Sales.
Now not possible due to work load as well as working at remote areas.

There are some posts, reviews by users (?) that Lenovo K6 Power suffers from Mic. Issues. I.e. the party at other end is unable to hear your voice. You can search "Lenovo K6 Power Mic issues" on Google for more info.

I think I should go for 3Gb Version of Lenovo K6 Power on the basis of your ownership of 4+ months.
