I am planning to buy Google Nexus One from US using Global Easy Buy feature of ebay. Here is
link to ebay listing for the item. I have asked seller for "what's in the box".
The phone runs on android 2.1. I am not sure if I will be able to update this phone to Android 2.3 in India because Nexus One is not sold here.
Do we have any NEXUS One owners in forum here ? If yes, did you manage to update phone software using OTA updates ?

but, how can we opt for singapore version? |
Well, I tried. But I think the update software figured out I am in India based on the IMIE number.:Frustrati

But, why does the release notes mention India? Maybe the release for India is is in the pipeline, and will be done soon.

Nexus one or Nexus S, you won't get OTA update as they released in US. But its always possible to update yourself by downloading the update and going into boot loader! Updating this way is just one minute job!
You have Android 2.3.4 For nexus one now.
Hi,
I have a small requirement here. I bought a new SD card. Now I want to replace the existing card with the new one. How/what should I do ? Any precaution do I need to follow ?

copy all contents from your original memory card to your computer.
then insert new card into the phone, it may ask to be formatted ,do that and copy the contents form your original card back up to new card and you will be fine :)

Thanks, I will the same. Hope there will be no hidden file and inter file in the old memory card.
usually there are not, just to be sure enable , show hidden files and folder before taking backup.
I just bought an
ASUS Eee Pad Transformer from BestBuy USA. Someone is bringing it down for me next month.
Specs :
- 10" IPS (1280x800 resolution)
- 1Ghz Tegra 2 dual core
- 1GB RAM
- 16GB inbuilt
- microSD slot
- mini HDMI out
- Honeycomb
- USB host with additional accessory (unconfirmed)
Bummer : No 3G, no full size USB port/s, 50-pin charge/connector
$399 + $45 shipping/tax.
Dock in...
And it becomes a very unified "netbook"
Ofcourse, its called the transformer because of this transforming feature. (I did NOT buy the ~$150 keyboard accessory) but it features :
- Additional battery, doubles the ~9hr battery life to 16+ hrs
- 2 full size USB ports
- 1 full size HDMI out (i think)
- Full size SD card slot
- Perfect integration for the touchpad / keyboard
- Customized android buttons (eg. volume, screenshot, brightness, etc)
Given the huge influx of android tablets, perhaps we should consider creating a separate android tablet thread?

Are you sure that's all needed? Will it move apps etc as-it-is? I have Sygic installed with MapMyIndia maps. I'm worried if those would be transferred verbatim.

yes if you copy each and every file as it was on the original memory card there wont be any issue.

Nice product , this has LAN port for the ethernet cable?
The keyboard acc is a good one.
Any idea how much does this cost in india?
Wildfire S available at 13,999 on letsbuy.com .. I think that's excellent pricing .. many people were guessing it would be in the range of 16-18k.
Guys finally some good news. Samsung Galaxy S2 is launching in India on may 25th. Launch event scheduled for tom in Delhi. I am just hoping they keep the price at 30k. Given that the Lg optimus 2x and Sony Ericsson ARC are priced around 27-28k, I feel samsung wont price the S2 at 35k which is being speculated by many.
