This is really bad! Is this the official S2 we will be getting in India? Or is it just Indiaplaza that's got this crappy version?
Its just Indiaplaza in its own fantasy world. The phone is going to be launched in june now according to the latest samsung tweets!

I use my phone explorer to transfer files back and forth between pc and phone over wi fi. In pc, I run the app and simply connect to the ip address of the phone. No hassles whatsoever.
Got my wife the LG Optimus P500 !! The phone is quite impressive and a perfectly budgeted for someone who will is new to the android world ! She is moving from N72 so a LOT of things are new to her. The battery is running since two days now, she doesnt fiddle with the phone much :D
Althou there a couple of things i needed help with:
1. Any widget or app for showing numberic battery either on the notification bar or on the battery icon itself (just like iphone )
2. Any alternative to LG PC Suite to sync and back up the phone ? I have having problems syncing pictures, videos and messages !! Everytime the software tries to change the mode to Mass storage, it says the SD Card is not connected. However, when i try to do it manually from the phone i am able to copy the files directly via windows explorer. Any idea what could be the issue ??

I have been trying to set up the exchange account for a long time, but without success. tried touchdown and all options but still no luck..!
Did you enter the right server? I had to setup mail.XX.com instead of it trying to auto-guess it. Have you compared with your regular outlook installation?

Apart from my post detailing the exchange setting requirements, here are 2 screenshots of my settings in TouchDown.
As you'll see, Login ID is my username which I enter everytime I log into my PC in the morning / or when I do a CTRL+ALT+DEL.
Email ID and password is self explanatory.
Server name *might* be different than your domain. Otherwise it usually is mail.company.com.
Check with your IT guy. Even in my case it was different. Email domain is "in.company.com" but server is "mail.company.asia"

Guess its a leaked rom. Still time for indian users. Hope they release it soon. Good news for defy users.
You can still flash any ROM you wish on the Defy, including the 2.1s.
The only possible issue with this Orange GB ROM would be that it may not recognize your network out of the box (the Froyo UK one recognized voda but not Airtel). That's solvable by just downloading one baseband.xml file from what i've read.

Now that LG Optimus 2X has come out @26k (flipkart), I dont think S2 would cost 40k! That would be insane and not sell in volumes samsung is targeting!
I think it will come at around 28-29k. Samsung even reduced the price of Galaxy S (most likely to make way for S2.) I think in Korea S2 is selling for about USD 550 which would translate to 28k in India.
