Back key + home key combination takes screenshot on Samsung Galaxy S LCD, I think the same combination should work on S II

Press the home button and the power button together. You will hear a sound of a screenshot being taken.

Yes, I have and am using it to view videos/pictures etc. via Allshare App from my Galaxy S2 (D710) to my Samsung LED TV UA-40D5000 (both are connected over my home wifi network).

Thanks for the same :) Cant this be done with using a home wifi setup? I mean cant the phone be directly connected to the TV? S2 has KIES by which it can act as the server and the phone is powerful enough for it.

Any idea how it is done on a Sony Ericsson hanset? I need to take screenshots of Train tickets booked on mobile.

There are various apps in the market, one which I know is Screenshot It. I'm not sure but I guess it needs a rooted phone.

It is being done through home wifi setup ONLY. Allshare is the program which is used to share and watch movies etc. via wifi to your compatible TV. Kies, frankly, is quite buggy and slow and I find it useless for most purposes that it has been designed for.

Any one tried any custom rom on Note and can give some feedback

My SGS runs on CM7(and i really dont see a point moving to another rom)

SGS2 runs on CM9 which is another speed demon.

Note is on standard rom and yet to find a compelling reason to get custom roms. Anyone with Note can share their experience please?

I have found KIES to be quite helpful. Helped me to transfer large size files faster than a bluetooth approach to my friend's laptop.

Press and hold the power key. You will get an option to take screenshot. This is how it works on Neo, hope its the same for other SE's as well :thumbs up

I ordered it on Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 now - Sulekha Offers and paid 30,189 for This was the best deal i could find.

Croma - 33,900
Letsbuy - 33,500
Flipkart - 32,700
Irla/Alfa/Others - 32,000
Sulekha - 30,189

BTW these prices are due to the recent hike in electronics pricing due to INR becoming weaker v/s the USD...prior to this the S2 and Note were cheaper that the level i bought it at now.

So i got the delivery of the Note last evening and its a great device....

I have a quick question about the Flip cover Samsung sells for INR 1800

Video Review -

From the review it doesn't look like it offers major protection to the sides or the back. Being able to talk with the screen covered also is a question.

Would appreciate feedback from members using the cover.

My other option would be to add a back panel cover(which would also protect the sides) and a front screen guard.

I got a Note in December, I got the flip cover free. It is provided by default if you buy it from Girias. Now you are being ripped off additional 1.8K for it!!

The original back cover is to be removed and the flip cover comes with its own exactly like the stock factory with the flip attached to it. Very useful for gripping and in general protecting the screen.

I would not live without it.

I am also getting it free + i have a cash back option of 1800 from Sulekha since they send it separately.

None of the reviews i saw say its a must have or that protects anything other than the screen (sides and back are still unprotected). They are also not comfortable with the call volume or typing convenience when the cover is attached.

Again...my options are - 1

1. Get the cover for FREE
OR
2. Get 1800 cash back and buy a back panel (which covers the side and back) + screen guard for approx 600

Guys who brought from sulekha, could you review the service?

Sulekha is now offering additional 1450 off for bsnl/airtel customers, so I am getting note for a cool 28570. I will order it accordingly as per your reviews!
