With GNote+ICS, I am wondering if Note makes more sense than SII?

May be this is too early to ask, but have you guys on GNote who updated to ICS see any +ve/-ve trend in terms of battery life? It's ok if one can provide update to this question in the next few days :)

Sorry for the late response. But the battery life seems to have come down with the ics upgrade. I don't see significant improvement in performance as well. Some new features are useful, but nothing with that "wow" factor so far..
Edit : ics available only for note as of now.

I think you are referring to Offical ICS Updates from Samsung, because I am running Criskelo's V10 ICS 4.0.3 with Siyah Kernel on my SII i9100 for more than 10 a week now without any issues at all. I get more than one day of battery on moderate usage on the weekdays and close to 2 days over weekends.

No app buddy. The ROM is use has the option of Holding the Vol-Down Key + Power Button at the same time for about 3secs.

Not sure if its standard on ICS ROMs though. Give it a shot, else if you have rooted the phone then use Shoot-Me from the Playstore.

Pocket damage is in European currency(since i am working there) the overall damage excluding the tax benefit and Exchange of my old phone it was BB 8250, i got this one for 15000 indian rupees(comparing all) and the actual price is 27000.

Any idea what will be the price for the galaxy s3? guess they are launching it here on 31/may.

New Samsung Galaxy S3 design

Searched a lot since yesterday evening. 100 calls across Pune to find out the cheapest price for Galaxy Tab 2 and a decent phone and finally zero'ed on after lots of deliberations and other aspects. Loved galaxy S2, but darn expensive for 27k. Everyone was saying go for it. However i looked at it objectively.

1. Nokia X3-02 RM 775 (comes with 1ghz processor) (dealers call it x302.5)

Serves the phone and the basics with music/wifi/hsdpa and others.

2. Galaxy Tab 2 + 16 GB mem card for 19k with B/W

Serves as phone+ and tablet.

Initial impressions.. is that i am happy to note that X3 voice is extremely clear for the caller and for the reciever as well.

As for Galaxy Tab2, the 3g speeds rock..thecall quality is very acceptable and so does the other features. Fits in 1 hand and the typing and google voice rocks. The only thing is that it requires the internet connection to work. I am not sure if i am missing something.

You bought both the phones?
What was the shop, you got this awesome price for tab 2.?
Google voice indeed needs internet access to work, be it 3G or Wifi.

Yes, like i told in the prev post that i have a requirement that for a regular day2day use i need a mobile which is light. After all in office all you need to check is voice calls and occasional gmail/yahoo mails..some news on the go on the phone. Apart from that nothing..nada.
I needed a slim/trim phone which was slim and light in trouser.. nothing like a bulge in office jeans or trouser (personally). Good voice clarity and battery etc etc. Now no phone with everything fits one so the discussed the same with S_U_N as well and he suggested that go for 2. Therefore went and evaluated and found it nice approach. Darn.. even if i loose it or whateever, the damage will be very acceptable. Plus i have a lil rough use and I need number pad to type. Using it for so long. Cannot bear loosing S2 in market:)

As far as tab goes.. me typing from that on this reply.. and the results are actually good so far.

Having said that, the only grouse i have is that if i enlarge a webpage, then the screen doesnt autoresize and you need to scroll sideways; not so convinient.

BTW: Where is the ICS famous face unlock feature ?

All the voice command apps need data connection to work, be it voice commands on Android, Siri on iPhone or S-voice on SIII etc. The phones do not have enough processing power and data required to process voice signals and convert it to commands.

Here is what I see on the i9100, not sure why Galaxy Tab-2 doesn't have it. Try hunting on XDA or may be other users can comment.

Edit: Just realised that this post of mine is #9300 ;) , Is this a sign of things to come.
