I have a feeling Samsung is going to kill their phones in the race to beat Apple in every market. This kind of pricing for S3 is insane. Htc one x will be the king of androids this year i feel. The S3 just looks so primitive in front of it. Such boring, ugly and plastic design for 42.5 k. Not a good deal.
Flipkart is already retailing it for 38990/-, though it shows as pre-order.

Relax guys, Its priced at 38.9k @ Flipkart, Even the MRP of One X was 42k when it launched. Now the pre-order price is lesser and available at flip kart inclusive of taxes. Prices should settle around 37.5k by this month.

So which one is better One X@ 35K or S3@ 39K?
I read on rediff that this S3 in India is just with 8GB space, they haven't launched 16GB yet in India! I guess iPhone 4S with 16GB is at 44.5k. No wonder if iPhone sales increase after this kind of pricing from Samsung :)

HTC is also launching the awesome HTC One S for 33K MRP next week. latest 28nm Dual core Snapdragon 4.3" with ICS. |
I agree that One S is one heck of a device. Should have been launched along with V and X.
But I believe 33k is more of a market skimming. Expecting that to settle around 28-27k in around 6mths, when it makes appropriate buy IMO.
EDIT: Looks like the launch is on June8.
Hi all,
Now that s3 is out of reach which is better Note or S2? i am planning to buy in next 2 days

Even I am facing the same issue after upgrading to ICS. My galaxy notes drain out in half a day where it used to say whole day with 40% still remaining at the end. I have disable most of the update, still the same issue. If u go to battery usage call is the prime user where as my user pattern has not change. Please let me know if any of you find solution to the problem |
I am on note with ICS. The battery is holding pretty nicely but I have been a avid user of the "Battery Defender" app. That ensures that I have ~50%+ battery even after 12 hours of moderate use that includes web surfing, emails, voice, data enabled apps, Team-BHP etc.
Ty it out and see if it makes a difference for you.
EDIT: Not just note, but on my Defy also (which has ICS), i used to have ~50%+ battery left after the day with extensive 3G usage. Prior to using Battery Defender, it used to be just ~10 hours on a charge

I am in a same dilema. I am thinking S2 would make sense now with ICS update and assuming you don't really care for that extra bit of resolution and processor differences.

why S2? For a couple of k more, one can go for Xperia S that has 720p resolution screen, 12Mp camera etc. Much better phone all around than S2.

Is the price diff just 2k? Last time I checked it was a good 4k and then was almost same as Note!! So there is no end to it :)
Sony has released ICS 4.0.4 for Neo V. Kudos to Sony for being very proactive in releasing latest ICS for all the phones clap:.
The updated package is just 20mb in size and version number is 4.1.B.0.431. This version mostly brings stability and reliability fixes and some performance improvements.

well ok i checked flipkart again just now. S2 is 28k, Xperia S is 31k and Note is 33k.
Note is obviously leagues better than S2 but it is too big for most people. I find 4.3 inch the perfect size for a phone screen, anything bigger renders the whole phone gigantic. In that perspective Xperia S is the best buy right now in the world! Xperia S has overall very good specs compared to S2 (S2 feels overpriced now, given that phones like Google Nexus is available for 26k, Sensation for 24k, Atrix for 22k etc).
I think this time LG did the same what Samsung did when they launched the first dual core phones. When LG and Samsung were about to launch their first dual core devices, Samsung knowingly came late with it. They saw all the features of the LG Optimus 2X and took their own time to add little more features in the S2. This time though, LG waited for S3 and looks like already they have made up their mind to beat the S3 with the Optimus 4X HD's hardware. That's a better phone IMO.
This is what i hate.lava is supposed to an indian company and yet the LAVA X900 is priced twice of what it retails for in the UK(rebranded).
Orange UK officially pull the wraps off the San Diego, the UK's first Intel powered Android smartphone | Android Central
Sell it here for that price and it has the potential to become a top-seller

If warranty isn't a concern the galaxy nexus at 23K is a good choice. its a NEXUS device so you dont have to wait for updates and hardware-wise it comparable to the note and the S2 (GalaxyN has a 720P amoled)
