Saw a black CRDI this morning shod with Samurai rims, looked nice and understated!

Hmm... The response from DSC Hyundai is much better - HMP act like they are some govt run office!! I got the same list of freebies offered too - from DSC ofcourse. I'll be booking one this week, probably on Monday.

yesterday we went for a drive to Yelagiri.
I drove my Brother's Verna.
The Engine is awesome and i reached almost 190 Kmph in the Bangalore Highway. The braking is too good. But driving inside the city is cumbersome.
But i am little afraid that will GetZ cope up the engine especially for braking the car in this high speed run.
I planned to change the tyres to 185/60/14 Bridgestone Potenza GIII or Michelin XM1+.

Pals,
Please let me know the Highest speed ever reached in GetZ Crdi and braking and handling.

I have been spotting quite a few Getz CRdis in Bangalore.

The tribe is growing. Wish to own one soon.

I planned to upsizing tyres to 185/65/14 increases GC by 40.84mm
though 185/60/14 is correct upsizing but decreases GC by -17.28 mm

175/65/14 Vs 185/65/14 details
-----------------------------------
Current RR: 291.55 mm New RR: 298.05mm
Current circumference: 1831.86mm New circumference: 1872.7mm
Difference in circumference: 40.84mm or 2.23%
speedo reads 70mph, you're actually travelling at 71.56 mph

whether this upsizing is Ok.i need to increase the GC.Cos GetZ has only 160mm GC.
I know this is not the place to ask this type of qst.
But i want to register my GetZ related issues in this thread itself.
Please give me replies friends.

Hello Friends,

what happened to you all.
No replies.
Please reply ASAP.
I need to finalize the tyres before getting delivery and need to check the rates in Chennai Tyre Shops.
Today i am going for window shopping and let u all know the tyre rates in Chennai.
May be going to check some alloys if it's in my budget i go for alloys too with 195 profile

175/65/14 is the stock - I would recommend going for an upsize - I am running 185s on my santro and I guess given the crdis power, you would need some wider rubber to compensate in the handling department. 185/65/14 does not seem to be the correct upsize as it present a 2.2% speedo error. On the other hand 195/160/14 gives only a 1.1% speedo error and may bring in more stability on your monster. If you are looking at 185s only then 185/60/14 is better.
Also if you are looking at alloys, then might as well go for 15" provided it fits and try 195/50/15. I maybe wrong but I think as long as you are within 1% error it is ok - try this Tire size calculator

As Jassi has pointed out, 185/65 will give some speedo error. But 185/65 will be better in terms of ground clearance.

For CRDI, the best upgrade would be 195/60 to handle the power. I am considering 185/65 for my next change as 195/60 is not needed for petrol and ground clearance of 185/60 is little less.

I would recommend 195/60 for you considering the handling and CRDI does not come with all around disc brake.

No plans for Alloys.
I am using the Stock rims or i have 5 New Verna Crdi SX rims which is 5.5J taken from my brother's car.
Planned to use those rims and 195/60/14 tyres as per your people.
brand may be Michelin XM1+ or PP1/2 or Bridgestone Potenza GIII
