A new Vdi might cost you 5.6+ i suppose. If you can wait, hold on till GP launch! You would have quite a options too at that time!

Think....
dude...i needed a diesel car as my driving has increased to almost 1700-1800 per month.
another reason is re-sale value after 2 years more would have been pea nuts maan.
i had absolutely no issues with my car.not a single penny spent on maintainance except routine services and i sold it with a heavy heart.
my petra got me through really bad times with out once breaking down.
i got 1.90 lacs for it.

Getting good used Swift DDiS is bit tough untill n unless some one is moving abroad or something like this situation you can bank on it, otherwise better take loan of 4L and ad your old cars money and buy the new one, I personally dont preffer 2nds car and investing time and money to make them looks and performs like new.Maintenance of new DDiS is cheaper than any 150 CC bike.

decision made.....phew

guys on this auspicious day of gudi padwa iv finally made up my mind to book a brand new swift Ldi at fortpoint motors thane.
OTR is coming to 5.10 lacs and im getting free teflon coating, floor mats and mud flaps.i had to really bargain for these.
I liked swift in white and black but the former is toooooo common now and the latter is a strict no no at home.so iam going for the ever-reliable silver which is readily available too.
thanks to all of you guys for your valuable inputs.
will open a new thread soon in the related section.

adios

Congratulations on the new car, it has gem of an 'engine', enjoy the turbo kick

But shanty as far as my knowledge goes teflon coating is a strict no - no.

Kindly read the recent posts in the following thread; especially the posts by GTO.

I am sorry for trying to say all negative things about your future plans; but you can also try and have a look at a "different" colour as the silver is common. I have a silver, but given a choice now I would love the copper colour. Looks great on the roads, but not on the brochures.
