I think you will find that it is not the Joyster. Try researching a bit more and look past the yellow colour.

Fabia wont be launched in India... there is already to much competition from ford & hyundai. b/w in that segment people (The volume buyers) look for value for money not for anything else... i am sure its gonna be costlier, smaller & bad dealer network compared to ford and hyundai... Skoda customer service sux atleast in bangalore!!

RAge.. ur statement " Fabia Wont Be Launched in india" is what u want to happen or what? Please do not just quote stuff without proper stuff, or atleast add up a line saying its just ur opinion or stuff like that...

The Fabia is definately coming to India, this is a confirmed news from the dealer, and they are just waiting for some hurdles to get cleared -

* Increase in production capacity/ new plant setup
* Excise/Custom Duty structure based evaluation as to lauch the Fabia Hatch or Sedan

Skoda customer service might be "suxing" in many places in India, still in that segment the Diesel Octavia is the heartthrob! same goes with the Laura, whatever its price/faults/high maintenance/VFM problems be..its a fast selling car!

In India, Skoda is giving VFM in different ways. With the Laura, if u see, its actually a great VFM, with so much of techie goodies, and such powerful engine, with world best DSG gearbox, what else one can imagine for that price!

Diesel is what ppl want here in India, even while resale, the Diesel variants fetch more than the Petrol counterpart, and its well worth buying the diesel variants paying a 1lk more where available, coz in the resale, percentage wise, u will definately benefit with the diesel.

And in this matter, Skoda has the best engines on offer to its customers today! the 1.9 of the Octavia with its astonishing 14-15kmpl in city mileage and 18-19 on highways!(i still find that hard to belive, but almost every Octavia owner has said me that, so they all musnt be wrong). The Laura, being Automatic, gives9-10kmpl in city, and 14-17 in highways!!!

Now isnt this VFM?

Even after 5 years of no-changes model, the Octavia still sells great numbers! no other car can be quoted here which has kept its shape/engine exactly the same over years and still is a mega seller...

a message to all, Please understand the meaning of VFM before deciding wether a car is VFM or not.

and VFM comes only till a certain category, after that , its all just brand names commanding the price!, VFM or not, hits are there. The Mercedes C Class i find is just not "VFM", but its a great seller! now it can also be seen as a real VFM as which other world class "luxury" car can u get at that price as of now.

hmm... i'm kinda disappointed to be frank. this looks too much like the swift, with the straight roofline, windows et all.
the pics in the very first post in this thread looked so much better... the yellow one in particular looked very cool.
IMO skoda's in for a tough time trying to sell this one (if it does come to India).
however, the Oct issue of Autocar featured a Fabia sedan, not a hatchback. guess we'll have to wait for skoda to make a move.

i guess the sedan version comes to india with a price braket 7 lks to 8 lks.
and that would be a 1.4 tdi engine. wish the fabia comes to india with the RS version in india, it is the most powerful hatch with a deisel engine.

The car looks quite roomy and practical. Interiors also look neat.

>>>new Undisguised Pictures<<<<

These are pictures of a showroom trim Skoda Fabia. The car looks quite spacious (more than the cramped Swift).

Car is very faithful to the Roomster Concept, except its not radically tall boy.

I hope the sedan version turns out less clumsy than last time around.
