The Q3 in its off-roading attempt! All credits to SVP of The Car & Bike Show.

Booking to start April End according to some reports. Looks like S350L-E240 was right about the price - which is rather sad!

Pre-booking seem to have started in Bangalore. They have 30 odd bookings so far. Expected on-road price 37L for petrol and 39L for Diesel. Both seem to be fully loaded models. If one books now can expect delivery in September.

Ouch !!!! those pricings hurt. Not that I was planning to buy but so much being discussed about this baby Audi being X1 competitor, it certainly wont with this pricing. Maybe because it is Bangalore and due to high taxes the price has shot up or maybe marketing strategy, whatsoever it does not look competitive

Saw one Orange coloured Q3 parked near my house this morning, guess it must be given to Bertrand Dsouza of Overdrive who stays right next to me. Will try to get some pics if possible.

For such pricing, isnt it wiser to plonk your money on a Freelander2 SE or a Volvo XC60 D3?

At 37L, how on earth was Audi calling Q3 a X1 contender?
Besides that September delivery with 30 bookings that just sad.

A friend of mine was interested in Q3, I think he would be dropping the plans all together now as he can't find any SUV or crossover that is worth it.

Sadly Volvo is yet to open shop in Bangalore. So that's that.

I thought thats the Bangalore OTR price (which usually is insane for cars in that price bracket). What is the ex showroom price expected for the Q3?

Right now they want to offer this under CBU, later on CKD will come. So price going to be on higher end. Bad Luck for those who were waiting.

Saw two orange Q3s in Goa accompanied by a new A6. Looked like press cars.MH 14 registered. The Q3 doesn't have much of a street presence I must say. The new A6 stole the show. That said, the X1 isn't no beauty queen either!

Well once the CKDs are available will the prices come down as against the speculated prices now and if so how much or weather Audi is absorbing the added cost of import duty initially to compensate with the CKD sales. If prices are going to come down drastically after CKD then it will be wiser to wait for the CKD than to go in for CBU.

Thanks - such high prices makes decisions easy.

At the rate at which prices of luxury cars are skyrocketing the cheapest way to enjoy them is to turn into a chauffeur.

Cheers,

Lol - and drive them in peak hour traffic which is more frustrating than not driving them at all!

The booking amount here in Delhi is 2L. They will return 90% if you choose to cancel the booking later. I guess we can wait for cheaper variants ?

Also, I was told that the 35L 2.0 TDI Q5 isn't available anymore! Is this true?

ACI review of Q3!

New Audi Q3 review by Autocar India - YouTube

Spoke to a friend of mine who works for an Audi dealership...He said June launch and price definitley more than 30 thats why they have stopped making the Q5 Corporate edition beacuse that would eat into the Q3 market share!

that pricing will shoo away a lot of prospective buyers :(
