No fun in going in the business hours also...This is the scene last time I went in the business hours !!!

Is anyone going during the Media days?
Anything special lined up then, which normal people might miss?

I have carried camera's in all past auto expos and haven't faced any issues. I would suggest to avoid bringing a car to Pragati Maidan. Use the metro. If you insist on taking a car park in the supreme court parking on Bhagwan Das road or Near Gate No. 1 of Pragati Maidan. Other option if they have the park and ride shuttle this time is to park at India gate and take the shuttle.

The media days are for "accreditted" journalists. The process for which is extremely complicated and entails too much of the rules and regulations that Auto Expo is becoming famous for. In addition, it is like being embedded, they would prefer only those journalists who would write sweet stuff about them, so . . .

Almost all the launches and seminars as well as important events are going to take place on these days. The real Auto Expo, as it were, where enthusiasts and potential buyers congregate, would be the public dates. Sadly, the organisers don't seem to realise that!!

Anyone going to be around on these days, we can meet up! Any official auto expo coverage on these days? Since these days are reserved for media and special invitees.

ok guys, any strategy on the least queue way possible to get in on 7/8th Jan?

BMS will actually verify our booking on the entry date, and then issue us an actual ticket. Therefore, the queues will still be there, but at the BMS counter.

Any benefits in the park & ride scheme?

I am now completely convinced that we will have major chaos on 7/8 Jan.

Their email confirms that counters will be open only at gates 5/7 (atleast a km walking from the metro - who does their planning anyway?).

Honest to God - considering an average agent will take 1 min to verify a booking and issue a ticket, and they have 2 setups with 5 counters each, this means that they can only process 10 customers per minute. Even assuming 3 tickets/customer, that means the 25000 customers' 75000 tickets will be served in 25000/10 = 2500 minutes.

Or 60 hours.

Or there will be utter chaos.

Net net, I feel like a darned fool for having booked via bookmyshow.com

I got 2 tickets for 5th and 6th so does that mean its for media only and not open for general public?

Auto expo has always been very badly managed. Whether its the ticketing process or the crown management inside the venue. Its only fun if you have passes and go there real early before the leechers reach there.

I am going to give it a skip this time mostly unless I get hold of some passes. Its way better to experience the event on TBHP dedicated Auto Expo thread.

5th and 6th are media and special invitee days. So the ticket you have might be a special invite.I think these would be these best days to go.
