Thanks a ton GTO! Just got my tickets online for AE 2012.

Website worked smoothly without stuttering or faltering midway (I was a bit apprehensive initially)
Tickets actually have to be picked up from the counter at Pragati. Now they have taken the payment and given the confirmation.

Once again, thanks for the link!

Thanks a lot. I was wondering how to get entry into the auto expo on the 7th. I had already booked my flight tickets, hotel room etc., but after reading that only 75,000 persons per day will be allowed I was wondering if I will have to sleep in front of the ticket counter in the bone chilling Delhi cold. I booked my tickets through the link and I am quite relieved. The link was of great help and convinience and gave me peace of mind.

Thanks.

Finally a smooth way to book tickets online for the Expo! Thanks a lot for this information, GTO :thumbs up

So as I understand it, we need to book the tickets here, make the payment online, get the confirmation and at the venue's ticket counter we need to exchange the confirmation for the actual tickets?? Correct me if I'm wrong.

I hope they make a separate queue for online ticket holders like in multiplexes, else we will be stuck in the main queue stampede :Frustrati

I've bought my tickets too using phone bookings through bookmyshow. I just hope they don't have ridiculous queues just to collect ticket on location. Would have been much more efficient if they could have issued e-tkts by email. Whats the point of online booking and then having to stand in a line.

I also bought tickets for 2 days. At the very least, I hope we can pick up tickets for both days at one shot and not ticket for each day only the same day. Hopefully CII would have sorted out these things intelligently.

@Turbunator - sorry for posting the information above and mixing up. It was supposed to be a reply to your post about the visitor access but you edited that query (and posted the schedule itself) after I posted my reply :D. Hope this doesn't entail an infraction for me for not adding value to the thread. MODS: please delete this post of mine since the duplicate info was unintentional.

Got my Premium view tickets for 7th Jan right now. But still got to stand in que to finally collect the original tickets at the AutoExpo gate before getting the entry. And I am fully aware of the rush at these Kiosks . Not a right move by the organizers. I am a bit sad .

^^Are premium tickets available for 7th as well? I think they are only for 9th, 10th and 11th?

no premium on weekends.
never have been.

Booked my tickets and got one free due to an offer at Bookmyshow.com :D

Thanks a lot GTO for posting this link. Just booked my tickets for 9th premium hrs. I am sure this thread is going to help many Bhpians here.

I am about to book my tickets and was wondering what sets the premium tickets apart from the normal ones.

Can any Auto Expo veterans kindly explain?

Thanks.

lesser crowd, more business oriented.

But i dont get this, though.
I dont recall business hours visits being on sale even in the last AX.
or were they?

Only thing is 500 bucks is not that detrimental an amount.
We might have morons who come for things other than cars to filter in into the business hours.
man!

Booked my tickets for the 7th Jan (Saturday)!
Does anyone know if cameras are permitted to be carried into the venue. I was reading on the Auto Expo website and they have banned almost all electronics, but there is no mention of Cameras.
Also, does anyone have recommendation on car parking at a convenient and safe place closest to the venue.

Any advice welcome!

man!

It is best to go in business hours as the crowd is much less and there is less of common Junta with "other" intentions!
However, Business hours are only there on weekdays and not on weekends. On weekends, it is open for all for the full day.
