Thanks Devilscry,

Now I am optimistic that I will be able to get into autoexpo by the mercy of Teambhp.

This is my first time in Expo and second time in Delhi. Does teambhp have any stall or contact point in the Expo?

IMNSHO if you land up at the venue at 9am, you have a clean time-optimized way to see the expo by snagging the 25000 tickets to be sold on each day.

even going to mahindra office, getting it will give u advance peace of mind but take up more time :)

/booking via BMS means queues/chaos at BMS counters. Nothing else.

Thank you very much bro.

I'm planning to attend Auto Expo on 10th (Tuesday). Can someone please advice if I should buy tickets directly from the venue or book from BMS site? I don't want mad chaos at BMS counter but also want to have a sure guarantee that I will be able to get ticket even if I reach at 3PM.

Guys is the BMS counter chaos going to be there for real. What if we reach before 10 may be at 9Am or 8.30.

People going on 7 and 8th please post your reviews here for do and don't for people coming later. Thanks.

Any chances you are still left with those passes, unable to PM you. If you do please email these to me at arora_15@ymail.com .

Thanks :)

quick pointer to ALL!
do not come within 10 kms of pragati maidan in your car.
I am serious.
park in noida, park in dwarka, park at some mall, change a few lines, but commute on the metro.
It is HELL on wheels!
I stay near india gate, and I walked home.
all I saw were brakelights and headlights making out, nothing else!!!
Once home, i couldnt leave my colony, Every road out was JAMMED!!
sorry, sherlock holmes, maybe next time :(

exactly. today at 6pm (NOT 7pm when it finishes) they walked about 2.5-3km to CP to board a metro. Everything was stuck. If only I could safely park a cycle at the auto expo - that's the only known safe way!

there is absolutely no sense in taking a car there tomorrow.

As some of you will be aware, we've had heavy showers and a hail-storm in Delhi and environs a short while ago, and one more shower is predicted in a few hours. The GM, Ford and Toyota pavilions are located ON the artificial lake, Hyundai, Renault and Nissan are in the basement.

Especially for out-of-towners not familiar with Delhi's inhospitable weather and temperament this time of year - expect to see chaotic, wet and slushy conditions on Saturday morning. Also expect to encounter security and others who will be on a taut string because of not just crowds but also security issues in the run-up to Republic Day, bear with them, they come to work before you, and leave well after you.

Please wear wind cheaters which will also keep you dry, shoes that work in slush (no chappals please, its really squishy there, I'm told . . .) and certainly use only public transport. Gate # 7 would work best for those coming by Metro as well as by bus, it is also closest to the car/bike pavilions, and on the way out you can easily walk towards the Zoo/Sunder Nagar Market (1km) or Pandara Market (2 kms) or Bengali Market (2 kms by short cut just past Lady Irwin College) or the ITO area (2 kms) for a meal and more while the crowd disperses.

Please also be aware that there seems to be a fair bit of pick-pocketing and lifting going on in the crowds, so don't carry your world of plastic, electronics, dox and money with you in easily accessible pockets. Especially beware of the stranger helpless woman trick - I presume many are aware of this scam, she asks for help wading through a crowd, you gallantly or otherwise provide said help, she then screams and a crowd gathers in no time.

APOLOGIES if this sounds too patronising, but my inputs are that the crowd on Saturday 7th is going to be tremendous. What for, I don't know, there is nothing really exciting this time arooun. Still, you got to go, you got to go.

Good luck, and have fun!!
