Q3 will certainly be lapped up by urban types. I guess one has to be well off to afford it.
Shankar, is that a typo? Isn't Q3 which is around the same size of the Yeti/Tiguan (and even share the same platform)? And the Q1 when introduced will be the smallest cross-over/SUV from Audi.

Actually, you're right, Sir.

The Q1 is a very small SUV. A micro-mini SUV of sorts. It should be around the size of the EcoSport, I believe.

If Audi introduce the Q1 in India and decide to assemble it here, we could be in for a real treat

Whoops! You're right vb. Apologies. Is it possible to correct the statement?
The Q5 is marginally bigger than the Yeti.
The Q3 is roughly the same size.
The Q1 is the little-est brother!

Another observation. Last week my Yeti was parked next to my friend's Q5. In terms of height, they were very close, but not in length and width. The Q5 has that big swoopy, flamboyant Roman nose of a bonnet where the Yeti looks much more restrained and almost adolescent in comparison!

People who need more space, probably a 7 seater would buy the Q7 over the RS6 even with its v10. By the way, the C7 RS6 will use a twin-turbo V8.

Diesels in general dont do well in the US because diesel is not available at 'every' fuel station, the comparatively noisy & polluting diesels are not preferred by the American market.
It is not that bad a comparison is it? Very unlikely situation in Europe where like in India, one would go for a day trip or a weekend trip with the neighbors or close relatives.

The RS6 Avant is not short on space either. A 7-seater its not but both these cars are usually bought for school runs and monthly grocery purchase and I think both serve the purpose except you'll probably have more laughs in the former.

Twin-Turbo V8 is probably the best way to go about it. Should also assure better fuel economy.

Yes sir, can see all of Europe driving your dream car. This is going way off-topic from the thread (Audi at Auto Expo).

A3 Sedan spied

We all knew that Audi is working on a sedan variant of the Audi A3. The A3 sedan was recently caught testing. The A3 sedan seems to be in initial stages of development.

Re: Audi (including Q3 and A3 e-tron concept) @ Auto Expo 2012

Audi India CEO Michael Perschke, has already confirmed that the hatchback A3 would not be launched for the Indian market. Instead, Audi would be bringing the sedan version of the A3 which is still undergoing testing elsewhere in the world.
Even the sedan version of the A3 would not be launched here in 2013.
