The latest CAR India magazine has an article about the Suzuki MR WAGON being the replacement for Zen..

Wondering if you guys have any other news about the car.. Tried searching on the posts, but could not find pointers..

The new MR Wagon was just released in Japan (known as MOM's personal wagon)

Dunno if they'll try to push the old model to India. Engine appears to be the same 996cc 4 pot.

Actually, the Jap version is supposed to be 600 cc or something.. but, the article says, they may want to give the 996 variant for India..

That's the older model. New one just came out in Japan. Not sure if they are bringing the old or new. Will most likely retain the existing engine.

OMG. Whats Maruti upto? There's no way in hell the Zen diehards will ever be able to even swallow this car as a Zen. :-(

my 1 1/2 bits.

Man this car is UGLY!
I dont think it will ever be what the Zen was.and still is, looks kinda like a matiz. If Maruti is going to continue with the Zen brand, they need something a lot more dynamic(styling wise) and a <1.2 l engine to avail of small car tax/excise benefits, but ofcourse, nothing that will threaten the swift..doesn't that leave them in a very difficult position, what they need is a sub 4 lakh small hatchback with loads of appeal!!!!
IMHO the WagonR 1.1 l engine should fit the role perfectly, that leaves the styling, do they have anything other than the pics we just saw?...but then thatt'lll dent the Wagonr sale........see now i've even confused myself!!!

holy sh** *** oh that is so damn ugly..i think suzuki has gone crazy after they took out the swift(radical styling),they have gone overboard with the styling thingy
yuck yuck ..i hope they dont brand it as the zen...it'll only bring down the brand equity of the ol zen.

You never know until the car is launched.. What if is handles and performs really well..!? The last 10 years in the Indian auto industry have proved that people are willing to go with unconventional designs..

MUL should consider launching this one as Zen replacement.

Its the Suzuki Ignis, very similar to the zen.

This is the hungarian version of the same car.
