I have a 2000 model 1.6 ZXI with Rocam engine......so your info is not right. The NxT was just a rebranded version with a few improvements.

Cheers!!!

The 1.6 as well as 1.8 ikons have been stopped, to prevent them from eating into the Fiesta's market. 1.3 Flair is alive and doing pretty well.

Ford already had an attractive pricing on the Flair. Today they have advertised a still better offer - free insurance.

Not many takers, i suppose. People are aware of the running costs & keeping away from them. 2000 Ikon is available for anything between 1.25-1.75L. But if you can get a low mileage Ikon, it is a good buy for that low price.

My friend also had the 1.3 Ikon. Must say it was a gem to drive and the acceleration was phenomenal for a 1.3l car, compared to the lighter esteem. Even with four average-sized guys the car could easily pull like there was no load. Had good fun and ripped it past 150 on the highway (again with four occupants and some luggage). But then after a few months or may be after a year, some sensors started conking-off. After getting the sensors changed thrice, which came at around Rs.4000 a pop, my friend was fed-up and finally sold it after around two and a half years.
