Makes sense that different RTOs + RTO Agents will charge different amounts. After all, the law isn't the same across all the states.

That thread has many examples of dealers charging various amounts, and a court ruling that dealers cant charge anything at all.

Example:

Actually when I bought Palio, I asked them to reduce it, as I'd made only temp registration, so they reduced from 3500/- to 800/- only.

More pictures and full experience will be posted in the ownership section after a month or so! ;-)

Here's the car, still being waxed:

And another side shot, again, still in the process of being waxed:

And finally, she's ready to head off over the Sealink and back home!

Mwahahaha, thanks!

The Benz was there simply because we took delivery in the basement (as is the regular protocol w/ this dealership), and the basement happens to be where the Pre-Owned cars live too! There were some interesting Bimmers down there in storage as well.. If you look carefully, you should be able to spot an M6 Gran Coupe in the background, brand new and awaiting a buyer. 2.2cr OTR

Hi Stiggy

You will love your car a bit more as all those labor is not lost for this stunning beauty.
Congrats Man.
Have a safe drive.
One question I keep asking my Mumbai friends, does the low ground clearance a problem due to Mumbai Roads and speed breakers ?

As for the ground clearance, no, not really. Just did a Western Express Highway run all the way up to Dahisar, no problems with the GC at all.
