Some kind of modification of the dCi engine? Last heard it produces 70BHP... 85 PS is too mouth watering!

This seems to be the latest trend among manufacturers, modifying the same engine and producing output as per needs. The 85ps engine may not make it to India however, atleast for now.

While we in India are still waiting for the Logan sedan, Dacia will start sales of the Logan light commercial van in Romania this month before introducing the vehicle in other European countries. The Van is based on the MCV which, according to auto mags, is also India bound. The vehicle is being introduced with the same 1.4 and 1.6 petrols and the 1.5 diesel.

I say, Mahindra-Renault should bring this van in India for our commercial segment too. What say?

Don't forget to go through the link below. The article has a lot of information on the Logan's sales figures from all the world.

Full Story: Dacia Logan Commercial Van.

I beg to differ, If you look at the vehicle carefully, you'll see that it is not as spacious as the commercial segment vehicles are looking for. Besides, Tata Ace and Mahindra's pickups are both doing well in their respective segments in the open carriage market.

If you were to bring in something in the closed loading area market, the Omni and soon to be launched Tata Ace Van will beat the competition hands down.

Commercial vehicles, need the ability to navigate through congested market areas for which they need the Omni or Tata-Ace type visibility and maneoverability, which unfortunately both the Tata 207 as well as the Mahindra Pick-ups lack.

I agree with Manish

In my opinion, launching the cargo version would spoil the reputation of the Logan in India. Indian Market still hasnt matured enough to take a Cargo version of a car.

The logan is designed for basic point A to B transport...

Just adding new bumpers and spilers wont make it good enough for rally use...

I totally agree with your point, there is nothing such as a "show" in the car not even smart looks

Would they launch the hatch as well as sedan simultaneously ??
Also the February launch seems to be a rumour.... April more likely launch ?

I still cant figure whether I like it or not.. hehe. Only some googling will tell. Engine/performance wise it seems ok, the looks well... !
