guys any news on logan?? it was supposed to come in 07! but still does anyone has updates??

If all the Auto Mags are to be believed, It should definitly come in April 2007.

And another thing brother, Just don't post these pictures in line with the Text. Upload them to any free server and put the thumbnails so that we can decide what to see and what to not. Its plain frustration to see pictures coming out of nowhere when you are expecting some serious reading.

Its being tested in Mumbai. Production should start by this year end. The first lot will roll out in the market in January 2007.

If you go to Romania, you'll see many of these on the streets (badged Dacia).

Trust me - they're AWFUL.

Well, they are supposed to be extremely cheap, right? some 3 lakhs or something.

Whatever one might say, they are defenitely more modern and up to date than an M800 and cost just a little bit more.

Logan project is on time and will be built in Nashik.

We might get the facelifted Gen2 Logan.

Looks again is subjective but the car has been an unexpectedly big hit in the home market France (V fashion conscious) even though the car was meant for BRIC type markets.

Just met with someone from Mahindra the other day. He insists we are set for the 3rd quarter of 2007. Price competitor will be the Indigo.

You mean TATA will have their new Indica platform for testing by consumer? I hope M&M can move up and make a good vehicle this time without too many rounds of upgrades like the Scorpio. Hope the Renault collaboration brings in better and improved technical and manufacturing skills.

The thing is : unlike most of their existing products, the Logan is expected to have a huge urban response. Something that M&M dealerships are not capable of handling. Their dealership presence is fantastic in semi-urban and rural areas, but is really lacking in urban India.

I've seen this car, in heavy disguise, being tested on the Western Express Highway many times.
A couple of months ago, I also came across a Renault Kangoo with its badges covered in masking tape.

I wouldn't really lust after the Logan. Its going to be a plain-jane car at best. Atleast in pics, it looks like something that could have originated in TATA's factories itself!
