Re: Scoop: 2015 Ford EcoSport facelift spotted testing in India

^^ Surely the IRVM part can be done at the dealer level?
Also, any idea if the features of the Titanium+ are retro-fittable. of course not the 100BHP

I have a 4 year warranty so am not looking at remap outside. If you get from the factory that's good enough for now.

IRVM yes you can get from Aliexpress but with the OE I'm sure it's like easier to install. Plus Ford accessories are not priced crazily like VW.

Re: Scoop: 2015 Ford EcoSport facelift spotted testing in India

No electrically folding mirrors? And the base doesn't even get airbags as an option. What the hell is Ford thinking? I'm glad I didn't wait for the facelift. They should have improved the ride if they haven't. This is the biggest negative in the car has turned off many buyers.
And the auto dimming IRVM with camera is available for 12K as accessory since the launch.

Friends, just an update. A representative from Ford India just called me and informed that the new version is going to be launched today, 7 Oct. He asked me to contact the dealer after 1.30 pm!

The new Trend+ has a lot of desired features. other than the smart key with push button smart, I don't see any other major difference.

Is there a price hike for the new models?

Re: Scoop: 2015 Ford EcoSport facelift spotted testing in India

Did anyone notice that the leaked brochure shows the 1.0L Ecoboost MT variant available in Trend+ and Titanium+ trims only? No more Titanium trim for the Ecoboost

C'mon Ford, another feature removal? The old 1.0L Ecoboost MT Titanium had R16 Alloy Wheels, Emergency Assist, Speed Alarm, ISOFIX, Rear Parking Sensors, CD Player, 3.5" MFD, Sync, Cooled Glove Box, Driver Window - One Touch Up/Down, Leather Wrapped Steering Wheel & Gear Knob, Driver Seat Armrest, Driver Seat Lumbar Support, Sunglasses Holder and 12V Rear Power Point

In all fairness to the buyers, this (Trend+) variant should not be priced above 7.5L!

I called up the Ford India customer care for confirmation. And they have confirmed the same.

Strangely the dealers are denying any information regarding the same .

I doubt AT variant will get push-button start. Are you sure?

Yes even the leaked brochure says smart keyless entry.

Ok, sorry. My bad. I just saw that. That's good. This is a very handy feature. No to take the key out of your pocket is so convenient, especially in a multiple stop driving like in-city.

I highly doubt that.

Current 1.5P Trend is ~ 7.7L ex-showroom Delhi.

New Trend+ gets these over the New Trend -

1L Ecoboost
Driver, Passenger airbags
Auto AC
Driver Info display in cluster (DTE/FE etc)
Front fog lamps
Silver painted roof rails
Chrome front grill (top & bottom)

Airbags alone push the price by 60-70k, add the rest and it could easily cross the 9 lakh mark IMO - without adding the 25-30k increase someone has mentioned above. And this is for the petrol, add another lakh for the diesel.

Let's wait to see how they finally price it though.

Re: Scoop: 2015 Ford EcoSport facelift spotted testing in India

A much needed upgrade would be the headlamp reflectors, it should either go for some Projector headlamp (May be expensive) or a new dual headlamp arrangement.

Yes, Alloy wheels to 17' anyway sounded insane, looks like a poorly informed dealer.

Hope all of these does not pull the price up drastically for the TITANIUM .

Had the exact same observation!

My eyes were set on the Ecoboost in Titanium trim and seems like it's not gonna be an option this time round.

The Trend+ loses out on quite a few goodies compared to Titanium, and titanium+ would price it way over the top. Plus the infamous Bangalore tax!
