Looking forward to the launch dates of both Nexon AND Kite5. I haven't seen any specific dates apart from sometime in 2016 for both of them (?).

Also started following their head of design Pratap Bose on twitter, for some lead (I am stupid).

Pratap Bose interview by Autocar - It shows interior of Nexon

It has umbrella holder:D, Nexon logo on dashboard - press it to open glove box

Looking forward for Nexon. It really looks smashing. Umbrella holder! Well, that's a nice utilitarian feature :)
Will be a good upgrade from my Zest. Hopefully I will take the plunge in 2017!

It's going to be Zica sedan, Hexa and Nexon in that order.
With Nexon looking at a 2017 launch.

Nexon frankly would not be out of place in any demanding western car market given they get the powertrain specs and the ride and handling right. As a concept nearing final production, I am really impressed by the car, especially the interiors. Tata is doing a much better job than Mahindra at styling and I hope it turn into good sales for them.

Given the current state of the market and Tata's sales, I would bet on Nexon bringing Tata Motors back than any other car, Zica and the Kite 5 included. They should bring it to market as soon as they can and get it right the first time. Very important.

Tata to launch 4 new vehicles in next 12 months. Very nice, so we are getting Zica, Kite5, Hexa, and Nexon this year.

Tata needs to launch vehicles well before the festive season - Dasara - Diwali -so that the prospective customers can see them onroad and make enquiries. Why I suggest this is because Tata is not Maruti whose new launches get acceptance (most of them) very quickly, which is not the case with Tata. A case in point is a very competent Zest, which, even after one and a half year of launch, couldnt realize its potential. Perceptions have to be changed, and efforts should be concentrated. Sales personnel should be more knowledgeable and persistent. Service side should be revamped. As I gather, some owners are reluctant to rub shoulders with Taxi people at service centres. May be a separate enclosure for both passenger cars and their owners.

The Bolt Sport concept has only been displayed, AFAIK no concrete announcement have been made yet on its production run or if at all TATA will make a discrete performance segment. If memory serves me right, there had also been rumors of a Indica Sport version sometime in 2012, which never saw the light of day. TATA seems to be getting into this habit of showing these concepts and then going back to sleep !

The last TATA came anywhere close to an actual production 'performance' car was with the Vista D-90 Quadrajet (Vista with the 90 HP VGT 1.3 Fiat Diesel engine). Unfortunately , it had a short production run and when I had inquired for it in December 2013, I was told that production had stopped. :Frustrati

Well Now to me, it looks like Modified Tata Xenon.

So that's how TATA named Nexon, they just interchanged 'N' & 'X' from Xenon!!

However, this front looks good independently but might not gel with the curvy body of Nexon.

+1

Which ever version they choose, Tata should serious start to standardize on child parts. Last few days I have been on the headlamps of my Storme. With a dual barrel, both units have a dust cap. But both caps on the same headlamp are of different sizes.

Stranger - the size is again completely different for the Manza/Vista, the nearest match. Let's not even consider the Indica's.

While Even Maruti has this problem, why cant manufacturers think of such things when they are finalizing the design of these parts ?
