Re: Poll: The best-looking boot among compact sedans

Voted for Amaze, I've seen the Tigor testing on Pune roads and was not awestruck when seeing it in flesh to be honest. The Amaze's boot is pleasing to the eyes when seen in person, also I feel it is the best proportioned compact Sedan available.

Honda Amaze. 400 Litres.
Along with that best in class rear legroom.
End of discussion.

Why it doesn't sell is another story.

Re: Poll: The best-looking boot among compact sedans

Can we rename the poll to say - ''Which sub 4m car in India has the least ugly derriere?''

Answer to that in my view is Ameo.

Is it only me that sees humor in this - car called ''Desire'' is in a poll that will crown it to have the most ugly backside.

Very comfortable suspension for these broken Bangalore roads! A perfect city car in many ways!
An excellent package indeed at the price!
Couldn't agree more with you.

I have been using one since its launch (Q1 2014) - and this car has managed to surprise me with its practicality and frugal nature everytime i have got hold of the steering.

The mammoth and well designed 407 ltre boot space easily takes whatever is thrown in it - be it airport luggage/infant stroller/monthly grocery - you name it.

The space inside is good by segment standards - and the quality of plastics and general fit and finish is something the competetion is struggling to match even today.

And did i say its got a butter smooth, precise gearshift as well - and that, coupled with an easy clutch makes city driving a breeze.

If only - Hyundai can do something about the slightly firm ride quality and provide wider tyres across the range - this car can hold upto its own even today.

P.S. A shot of the rear from my tbhp Profile page:

Re: Poll: The best-looking boot among compact sedans

Surprised to see that so many of us voted for the Tigor. From the pictures available on the web, it looks more or less like a "barely there" boot.

My vote goes for Aspire for its clean design and integration.

Cheers!

That is because the vote was for the best looking boot. Not the longest.

The Aspire's slab sided doors do not do too much to enhance it's well integrated boot.

While the Zest has a nicely integrated boot, the Tigor seems to have a better version of this.

For me I will go with the top 2 choices as seen in the results.

That's because Tigor doesn't really look like a compact sedan. Instead it looks like a big hatchback (for eg : like BMW X6).

Compact sedans are very pathetic and one of the worst things to ever happen to automotive design domain (all thanks to our Great Indian Sub-4m rule).

Thankfully, cars like Tigor and Brezza make the garishness little more acceptable.

Exactly my point, The Brutailer. When a car doesn't even look like it has a boot, why would someone opt that as a car with the best looking boot.

Anyway, I think we can put this discussion to rest since!

Cheers,

Hmm... I thought the Tigor's boot seemed to have a 'matronly' look .

What I look for is how the boot and bumper gel together - and based on this aspect my vote goes to Zest.

Re: Poll: The best-looking boot among compact sedans

The Honda Amaze has a well shaped 400 litre boot that can swallow a decent amount of luggage. And the boot is well integrated too, in my opinion. It is rather high and can intrude a bit while reversing.
The Xcent is better designed than the Amaze in terms of boot integration.

Re: Poll: The best-looking boot among compact sedans

Till the time Tigor was not there Aspire I think had the best looking boot. In that matter, I think it looks better than its sibling the Figo. Tigor is more of a notchback but with those curves and creases looks swell.

Re: Poll: The best-looking boot among compact sedans

My vote goes to the Xcent, as far as looks go, especially the side profile. I feel that it the one compact sedan, which looks like it has been designed from ground up. Compared to others which all have obviously truncated boots.
