I see dates are shown under each silhouette. Does this mean unveiling of these vehicles will take place in next 4 days even before Auto Expo? Why not unveil during Auto expo? |
Sneak peeks/teaser silhouettes of these vehicles are to be shown on the dates specified.
Actual unveilings will be conducted at the Expo.

If you look closely at TATA's "reveal', the distance from the window to the wheel arch lining is very less compared to the vehicle in the image. I doubt if this is the vehicle!
Sneak Peek #3 - the Q501 SUV:
For the first time ever, I am super excited to see what Tata Motors has to offer amongst all the lot present at the Auto Expo. What a long way Tata has come in a short time, only a couple of quarters back before the Tiago launch, I would just not bother about any vehicle Tata launched, but now they are on full boost, rolling winners after winners, with the Hexa they have outdone themselves, like really! Imagine Swift Diesel/Baleno type hatchbacks rolling out with 110-120 bhp diesel hatchbacks with Hexa type quick and brilliant torque converted automatics, don't just take my cheque, but take my entire chequebook after that!
Tata’s Impact design 2.0 philosophy is starting to look pretty exciting. This para from autocar’s Article particularly caught my attention
“As per details shared by the carmaker, upcoming models will get ‘segment-leading wheel sizes’ and ‘strong fenders’ for enhanced road presence. The defining styling element on the newer models, however, will be a more prominent, three-dimensional ‘humanity line’ that is Tata speak for the styling element that underlines the grille and headlights. Also, body surfacing will be uncluttered and there will be a greater attention to detail with a mention of a ‘Tri-arrow’ pattern. There’s also word on new colours chosen specially to bring out the models’ lines.”

Maybe they are going to showcase an all wheel drive Electric Nexon.
The obvious answer to the question they asked on Twitter is going to be Electric.
Only few more weeks left for the expo. Cars that I'm looking forward to,
1. Toyota Yaris Sedan/Hatch
2. Jeep Renegade
3. Ford Figo Facelift and Figo Cross
4. Tata's new premium hatch and SUVs
5. Kia Motors

The new CV is similar to this mule?
Toyota Yaris sedan to make India debut at Auto Expo 2018, to rival Honda City and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, with a launch planned for the latter part of 2018
Toyota will launch the Yaris in India with a 107hp and 1.5-litre petrol engine. There will be no diesel engine, at least to begin with.
Quote:
The Yaris sedan is already available abroad in many Asian markets, though learnt the Indian model will be closest to the Singapore-spec car, sold with the ‘Vios’ moniker in that market
|
Link Maruti Suzuki :
Apart from its regular models (the new Swift hatchback and the Concept Future S which previews a new compact SUV) Maruti Suzuki will use the platform to showcase about hybrid technology.
Maruti Suzuki will also have the quirky
e-Survivor SUV concept on display. There will be products for gauging Customer feedback as seen in previous expos.
Quote:
the manufacturer will have functioning cutaways of a petrol-electric hybrid powertrain. The display is meant to explain how its hybrid powertrain works, the benefits of these types of engines, especially in terms of fuel economy, and the feasibility of this technology in India.
|
Quote:
the demonstration of more sophisticated hybrid systems does potentially indicate Maruti could be looking at introducing a greater level of hybridisation in its future models. Greater hybrid assist is sure to help Maruti excel when more stringent fuel efficiency regulations come into effect.

I don't quite see the Tiago Sport anywhere in this pic. Are the birdies not chirping about the Tiago Sport ??? I'm really holding out for that one to replace our alto.

In a fix now, is the hatchback and SUV teased in production form or concept?
Last one is definitely Tigor, but a performance based one. It also has a blacked bonnet, but is it matte or carbon or just colored will find out in Auto Expo.
