The report states that the launch of the KUV100 facelift could coincide with the Tata Nexon launch, which is scheduled for September 21, 2017. Spy images of the updated KUV100 indicate that the vehicle is set to receive minor exterior styling tweaks. On the inside, the car could get a textured dashboard and a new infotainment system as well.

The KUV100 facelift is expected to be offered with the current set of engines - a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol unit which produces 82 BHP @ 5,500 rpm and 115 Nm of torque @ 3,500-3,600 rpm and a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder diesel with 77 BHP @ 3,750 rpm and peak torque of 190 Nm @ 1,750-2,250 rpm. Re: Rumour: Updated Mahindra KUV100, TUV300 coming this month

Mahindra is fast becoming Maruti of SUVs. Not by volumes of course but by model and variant overlaps.

Put a number around 9L to 15L on paper and at each slab they have at least 2 cars from various segments overlapping in top/entry variants.

The moment they find some ideas about making a contemporary monocoque non-suv car, they'll complete the CV of an all rounded auto maker.

Re: Rumour: Updated Mahindra KUV100, TUV300 coming this month

Though Mahindra has tried to keep up with the competition but I didn't see anything major and looks like an opportunity lost. They would have come up with all guns blazing something like automatic wipers if not the start stop button or Cruise Control if not the six airbags. Something much significant to keep the product worthy enough rather than just few cosmetic updates. Though touchscreen is a good addition but who cares when you are late to the party, even a Kwid have it.
Few Pics from the official website.

Looks like we'll have to wait for the T12 variant before Mahindra brings in projector headlamps and ACC. I am not at all convinced about the car being 'luxurious'.

Re: Rumour: Updated Mahindra KUV100, TUV300 coming this month

2017 Mahindra KUV100 NXT details revealed.

The KUV100 NXT will come with K2+, K4+, K6+, K8 and K8+ trims.

Quote:
KUV100 facelift will get restyled front and rear bumpers that give a muscular and more SUV-like appearance. The vehicle’s length has also gone up slightly as a result of this and now stands at 3,700mm as compared to the earlier 3,675mm. Mahindra will also offer faux skid plate on the front and the back, along with a new front grille with design elements similar to newer models like the Genio pick-up and the upcoming U321 MPV. The cladding that runs through the length of the car including the wheel arches has also seen a minor design change. The headlamps and tail-lamps will get new inserts and a clear lens design at the back.

The refreshed KUV100 will also feature sheet metal changes to its doors and the tailgate, which will now get new “sharper and more aggressive” creases that are expected to make the vehicle look more SUV-like. It will also come with integrated roof rails and a tailgate spoiler. Higher variants will also feature new 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.

The KUV100 facelift will come with six single-tone exterior paint shade options and as many as three dual-tone options.
Quote:
Mahindra will now sell the KUV100 with a six-seater configuration only. However, the five-seater version will be available on made-to-order basis. Two interior shades will be on offer, the lower spec trims are likely to come with grey interiors while the top-spec K8 will get an all-black layout

Re: Rumour: Updated Mahindra KUV100, TUV300 coming this month

ACI has posted details of the KUV100 NXT, via an exclusive report.

Quote:
The refreshed KUV100 will be christened KUV100 NXT when launched in the market and will feature a long list of updates that are not just restricted to cosmetic bits. First up, the KUV100 facelift will get restyled front and rear bumpers that give a muscular and more SUV-like appearance. The vehicle’s length has also gone up slightly as a result of this and now stands at 3,700mm as compared to the earlier 3,675mm. It will also come with integrated roof rails and a tailgate spoiler. Higher variants will also feature new 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.

The KUV100 NXT will come with K2+, K4+, K6+, K8 and K8+ trims. Earlier available in both five- and six-seater layout, Mahindra will now sell the KUV100 with a six-seater configuration only. However, the five-seater version will be available on made-to-order basis.

The KUV100 NXT will, for the first time, come with a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system on the top-spec K8 trim. This system will feature multiple functions, including GPS navigation with maps from MapmyIndia. Additionally, the KUV100 will also come with remote lock/unlock for the tail gate, power folding wing mirrors, rear parking sensors, a new multi-info display giving readouts for gearshift alert, drive modes and fuel economy. Higher trims are also likely to come with automatic climate control for the AC.

Mahindra will continue with the same 82hp 1.2-litre petrol and the 76hp 1.2-litre diesel engine for the KUV100 mated to a single five-speed manual gearbox. The manufacturer has tuned the engine for better fuel economy figures than the earlier model. Additionally, the KUV100 facelift has improved approach and departure angle as well (20 degrees and 29 degrees, respectively) which, along with additional ground clearance is likely to help it perform better on rough roads. As far as safety goes, the KUV100 NXT will come with dual front airbags, corner braking control and ninth-generation ABS and EBD.

'luxurious' is a relative term, I am sure they meant that it is luxurious compared to other cars from their own stable . I find the interiors of the TUV far better than their flagship Scorpio and cannot understand why can't they provide similar interiors in the Scorpio.

Very true. And that is why it will be compared to its competition like the Nexon and the Ecosport.

Agree to T!

Today we have seen this, the new Etios Cross X-Edition and the new Duster Sandstorm editions. All horrendous and pukeworthy. All on a same day! Not sure which looks worse. Can we have a poll on this.

All jokes aside, one of the most disappointing aspects of KUV100 was the petrol engine and its absurd FE. There were so many threads and none positive about it. Wonder if anything has been done to address it. It's going to be another failure for Mahindra if this is just a cosmetic face-lift. I still cannot believe how they even got this design approved by our great Anand Mahindra.

The KUV has always been a design disaster. Starting from its ugly looks to that ill fated gear knob placement. Imagine in case of a frontal impact, the person sitting in the KUV's front middle seat is gonna have his ribcage smashed. I wonder how this car was even allowed to be launched on the roads. I think whoever in Mahindra designed the KUV originally had a real bad fight with his wife that morning before heading out to work.

And now Mahindra plans to make the 6-seater version as standard for the KUV. 5-seater will be made to order.

That odd placement of gear lever which was first seen on the i10 and Ritz. While Maruti and Hyundai had implemented it beautifully, Mahindra just went ahead and placed it directly on the dashboard without second thoughts.

People who bought the KUV, have loved it for its SUV design, high seating, that gearlever placement, and all this available cheaper than an Ecosport.
