My car gave me 24KMPL on Bangalore to Mysore highway with AC on (around 85% of the time). I think this is really great.

Remember seeing a Verna and a Getz with those rally stickers on. They were certainly not driving for FE. The Verna was ripping through the traffic - in fact it got it's left front bumper ripped off while trying to squeeze between two vehicles, right in front of me ..

Maybe they were letting loose after a tedious FE run.

Well done Sam . Now thats what I call realistic figures. I'm sure you'll get more as time flies. Now for a highway run

Finally the actual figures begin to pour in...
But if its total bumper to bumper traffic, i guess thats all we can expect, be it any vehicle. 400 kms of such traffic conditions would have been a real pain !!

Hi, my new Verna CRDI has covered 600 kms so far.. I'm getting roughly 13-14 kmpl in City driving with a/c on for more than 90% of the time. Its driven mostly in 2nd and 3rd gear only due to the traffic.

Mileage Update on Verna CRDI

I just returned from a trip to trivandrum from blore. The current mileage is abour 19KMPL with the AC cranked up to 50% ( thats the highway figure). On my daily commte to the office she is pretty miserly at about 15KMPL . Now thats all with some really harsh driving with speeds touching 170 Kmph only on the highway though..

I now really regret not having opted for the ABS , as at any speed over 120 KMPH its a real challenge to bring her to a very orderly halt! . Thats too bad for a car which is capable of doing much more than that. Current ODO reading is around 6.5K I have chnaged the engine oil and the first service has been over long ago .
