By October Honda Vtec+ is going to release with ABS and AirBags.
May be priced increase by 60K
Within 10 Days they will know the Exact price of VTEC+ with AirBags and ABS.
Exisiting models Exi,Gxi,Vtec remains same and there's no changes in Exterior as well as interiors.

Even without ABS/Airbag the current price for VTEC is high. If VTEC price is increased by another 60K, SX4 will really look VFM and will sell more.

Honda should give the features within the same price or marginal increase.

I have a feeling that the price increase will not be more than 30,000. But this will also depend on what all do they add. I think the dealers either dont know or are trying to sell their current cars citing a larger difference.

HONDA must come out with these features not just in VTEC but in all the models. VTEC doesn't sell much anyway (about 15%-20% of total City sales, maybe lower)

Anyway tell me which one -- COROLLA H1 or VTEC City with ABS etc.?

Corolla H1 any day....the VVT-i engine is much better than the Vtec of the NHC. However, they are actually two cars from two different segments and hence, the comparision is not a fair one. The Corolla H1 obviously will have much better features and comforts than the NHC Vtec.

I think you might try comparing the Corolla Executive with the NHC Vtec with upgraded features due soon.....even then, I think the Corolla will be a better choice purely due to the gem of an engine which is has under its hood.

Final date of the New City VTEC launch is 11th Sept. The cars are already reaching the dealerships. Called the 10th Anniversary model. Price to be declared on 10th or 11th only.

Main Changes are:

1. ABS
2. SRS (Airbags)
3. New Alpine audio system (NOT INTEGRATED)
4. Leather seats.
5. New Steering Wheel (Due to SRS airbags).

Might be some other minor cosmetic modifications. I have been invited to inspect the car at Jaipur and also test drive it (though RTO approval yet to come--is it needed again?). The car was recieved there at 4 pm today and I had this talk at

Expected increase in price?? (If HONDA prices it aggresively, I'd say 20,000 or less, otherwise upto 55000 or so).

No ABS and airbags in the Idsi models. How will they compete with SX4, lets see? I think they are trying to compete only with the SX4 Zxi Leather version.

If they increase the price of this VTEC then the H1 of the Corolla becomes an exceptional buy for the price.

WHAT DISCOUNTS CAN I EXPECT ON THE COROLLA H1? I want to buy 1 immediately (delivery latest by 25th Sept or so). Which colour of the Corolla H1 is good? (No black, plain white or dark colours please)
