F A D A - Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations

Founded in 1964, Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (F A D A), is the apex national body of automobile retail industry engaged in the sale, service and spares of 2/3 Wheelers, Passenger Cars, UVs, Commercial Vehicles (including buses and trucks) and Tractors. F A D A represents over 15,000 automobile dealers having 25,000 dealerships including 30 Associations of Automobile Dealers at the Regional, State and City levels

International Centre for Automotive Technology (iCAT)

The International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT), located in Manesar, is involved in automotive testing, certification and R&D service provider under the aegis of NATRiP (National Automotive Testing and R&D Infrastructure Project), Government of India.

ICAT Services are in areas of Certification, Design and Development, Testing and Validation

Global Automotive Research Centre (GARC)

GARC is one of the state of art test centre established by Ministry of Heavy Industries and PE, Govt. of India (under NATRIP), located at Oragadam near Chennai, Tamilnadu.

GARC has been authorized as test agency under CMVR 126 by Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Govt. of India. GARC has the full-fledged R&D and Homologation Test Facilities including the Test Tracks to certify all category of vehicles, systems and components as per national and international standards.

Natrax

The National Automotive Test Tracks (NATRAX-Indore) is a world-class automotive proving ground setup on 4,140 acres land for comprehensive testing and evaluation of all type of vehicles.

The facility has all types of surface type to test vehicles against varying terrains and stringency. The core of the facility is the oval 4-lane high speed track of 13.6 Km designed for a neutral speed of 250 kmph on curves.

The large part of test load on this facility is related to evaluation of automotive performance such as max speed, acceleration, break, efficiency, noise, vibration, handling, stability etc.

The irony was that there was no one at the stall and cleaning boys from adjacent stalls were using this stall as their seating area

ASDC is doing a great job in providing skilled manpower to the aftersales industry, as well as to the manufacturing units.

They have four levels of technicians, Level 4 being the most skilled.

The best part is, they ensure that the wages of the candidates recruited through them are as per the minimum legal wage of the state.
