Don’t know exactly, but that blue colour is lighting up the entire car so much in the day that I wonder what would happen at night, if those are really ambient lights.

Re: MG Hector facelift spied testing

So yesterday, while travelling via Guindy towards Vadapalani (that's in Chennai), I saw a fully camouflaged MG Hector followed by another one in the same metallic red shade with lots of wires dangling around the centre console and also behind the front door on the outside. That particular one was a thick cable that went from the underbody to the interior of the car. Couldn't get any pic of the camouflaged one but got a poor rear pic of the red one at the signal that sadly shows no signs of the testing equipment other than some wires inside.

Re: MG Hector facelift spied testing

Pretty quick update for a car that was launched recently. But then, MG has next to zero R&D costs due to rebranding so they can afford all these marketing spends.

Re: MG Hector facelift spied testing

Facelift has reached the showroom floors !
The 18 inch wheels look much better and now the side profile looks acceptable. Front and rear is also better as they have removed the unnecessary loud bits.

While the changes to the exterior is welcome, the refreshed interior looks overwhelming. There seems to be an overdose of biege in the cabin now! It could be the pictures and it might look better in person. MG should have given the rear bumper from the Hector Plus in this car.

Agreed they could have kept the upper part of dash in beige with lower in black or atleast provided black seats. Hope it looks good in person. With ventilated seats & wireless charging being reportedly the new additions, this has become a stupendous family cruiser. If only they also launch a Diesel automatic !

Re: MG Hector facelift spied testing

Door pads should have been kept black, they will be really tough to maintain!

Also with the earlier black interiors the Hector used to look so airy now with beige it feels overly airy.

Re: MG Hector facelift spied testing

Damn, thats a lot of beige in the cabin. I had appreciated MG in official review for not opting for the beige and using the all black theme.

I don't understand why they need to use so much beige. Beige can lighten up the cabin ad feel premium when used in moderation.

If they used black on centre console and the bottom of door pads it would have looked classy. Not this sea of beige.

Re: MG Hector facelift spied testing

That looks like Honda level of beige. I think they should have gone for exterior-interior contrasts. Light paints-dark trim and vice-versa.

The front and the rear door pads look like they belong to two different vehicles. The front door pads get Black+ Beige colour combo with aluminium finished inner door handles. The rear door pads however get all Beige treatment and the aluminium door handles aren't present.

Ventilated seats confirmed in above video. Odd placement though.

Re: MG Hector facelift spied testing

I liked the beige interiors. It makes the cabin airy. And all the luxury marquees come with beige overdose anyway. Let MG have their beige party too.

What I don't like is the chrome overdose. The front has still too much chrome. But that is something 3M stickers can easily solve. Spend about 5K and one should be able to blacken it completely. A black Hector with blacked chrome parts all around and beige interiors. That would be gangsta.

Re: MG Hector facelift spied testing

A very impressive facelift done by MG. The 18inch alloy wheels look so much more better and gives it a better overall stance. Auto day and night mirrors were much needed.
What are so not impressive are the interior colors. The black and beige treatment goes well. I personally wish the touch points like door arm rest, entire center console should have been black as the steering wheel itself is black.
The front doors have a black and beige treatment whereas in comparison the rear doors look bland with only beige. Reminds me of lower trims of the Swift Dzire.
