So expect in the range of Rs.8.5 to Rs.11.5 for the manuals?
The price hike should be justifiable, I mean the upgrades and the features which are going to be added in the upcoming brezza should be decent enough so that a person willing to buy it wouldn't mind shelling some extra money for those nifty features.

Regardless of whether the crash test rating remains the same or not, the new Brezza is rumoured to get side body and head airbags and ESC, which are technologies not worth missing out on for a safety-conscious customer. Please remember that these technologies are not yet assessed by Global NCAP because they don't have the resources to (for India), not because they are not important.
So that means the upcoming brezza would be atleast as safe as the current brezza if not better. The problem is that the new brezza doesn't look that appealing atleast to my eyes, yes those are spy pics we should wait for some better pics and then have a look at it in flesh.

re: The 2022 Maruti Brezza, now launched at Rs 7.99 lakh

There are many posts by forum members explaining how important is to have ESP/ ESC and their experiences.

Indian roads are full of lunatics and even if I am a peace loving and relatively conservative driver, the morons on steering will be very much interested to disturb me or cause harm to me. The roads seem to be a wrestling ground for them. And without any provocation they will be disturbing a harmless law abiding driver maintaining lane discipline and speed limits.

I usually do not go beyond the speed limits of the highways. But, everyday bigger cars/ safer cars would just approach from all angles, just try to touch the bumper, unnecessarily blink their strong LED, HID Laser and projectors and while overtaking they will cut into my lane. This is the everyday affair in Delhi NCR. And at night, it is even worst than this. Invariably someone will emerge from 90 degrees in a rocket like speed. One mistake and you are gone in a fraction of second.

Hence, today we need maximum possible safety just to save our lives from unplanned exit.

Since you have waited for so long, it is worthwhile to wait a little more. I am no expert but being in similar situation, can safely suggest to wait. Also, year end discounts along with new airbags rule, should be the deciding factor.

Hello fellas! I don't know if this comes true, just speculating, the new Brezza us going to have a mild hybrid. This is because I saw the UC Hyryder nameplate which strikes me whether that meant about the hybrid version of the new version or just the new Brezza with a Toyota Badge.

The new Brezza is not for Toyota as far as I know. The UC Hyryder brand is going to be used by Toyota for some other vehicle like S Cross replacement.

What do you mean? What happens to the Urban Cruiser if the new Brezza isn't for Toyota?

Do you mean to say that the Urban Cruiser will be phased out? Or will it continue to be sold by Toyota and the new Brezza will be exclusive for Maruti?

If this is true, that means new Brezza price will be jacked up very high, and will be on par with current SCross (while leaving the space for Baleno Cross).

Toyota, unlike Maruti, may not want to launch multiple vehicles in a small price gap and may be trying to piggy-back D22 on the UC name at a higher price range.

Maruti may launch Baleno Cross at 7.5L, new Brezza at 8.5L and replace SCross with YFG at a higher price band, say, 9.5L.

Assumptions only!

May be it will continue in the old guise, maybe it won't. I don't know. But my sources say, the new Brezza is a Suzuki only vehicle as of now.

If this is the case, then the UC Hyryder may be completely hybrid just like the City and Camry??
If not even that, and it is just like the Legender of Fortuner, this trick won't work. I guess the UC sales will fall drastically to less than 1k units a month. Toyota will phase it out by 2024 then just like they did with the Yaris
B]Again these are just my guesses. Please do not take this seriously, keep that pinch of salt like always[/b]

Looks like a Evoque from the back if one were to ignore the Suzuki badge. Can't wait to see this. Maurti must be banking high on this product. I am sure this one will run into several months of waiting period. I remember the Brezza when it was launched and when there was no chip shortage etc still had 2-3 months waiting.

A wild guess, an ace rally driver who loves to go sideways in his Lexus 2JGTE is behind the wheels for this shoot.

"2022 Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza will continue to be underpinned by the existing Heartect platform..."

See the quality of mainstream automobile journalism! They don't know the current Brezza is on Suzuki's global C-platform! Timesnever!
