Thanks Carma2017 for the clarification. I was referring to the earlier mid- April’21 timeline speculated in the media. Lot of folks were waiting on it and now a shift of 3-4 months makes it a longer wait for everyone including myself

Hoping that the speculation of a 6-speed automatic comes true after a long wait.

There are numerous other blogs and YouTube channels suggesting launch of updated S Cross during the same time period. Not sure Maruti will launch Brezza or S Cross first

The Creta challenger will be the one coming with the strong hybrid.

While a 6 speed TC automatic is said to come with the Brezza, not sure if the engine will get the dualjet treatment or continue with the present one.

If the 1.5 Liter is going to be coupled with a 6 speed Torque Converter, I would very much like to see that on the current S-Cross. Will be make a very practical, comfortable and safe choice for many out there!!

Has it grown in size ? The C pillar seems larger than the existing brezza.
It makes sense for it to grow beyond 4 meter as the engine size disqualifies it for the sub 4 meter benefits.

2022 Maruti Brezza details as per ACI.

- Sunroof, stronger bodyshell

- Gets new LED headlamps with LED DRLs. At the rear, there will be an all-new tail gate, slimmer LED tail lights and revised rear bumper.

- The alloy wheels will be given a new dual-tone design.

- Larger touchscreen, HUD, six airbags.

- include the larger 9.0-inch touchscreen with the updated SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment software, a head-up display, 360-degree camera, connected car features and much more.

- To carry forward its 1.5-litre, four-cylinder K15B petrol engine. 6AT with with paddle shifters and 5 MT will be the transmissions on the Brezza.

- First will be CNG as a fuel option with the new Brezza, making it the first compact SUV in the country with this fuel option.

- The updated Brezza is expected to hit showrooms by June.

All information shared is in line with what I have heard as well except couple of tidbits:

1 correction: K15B engine is used in current avatar of Brezza. In the new version, I believe the moniker 'C' will be used with the K15 engine similar to Celerio graduating to K10C from K10B. It may become K15N as well. Overall, the engine is getting updates for higher fuel efficiency and lower emissions.

1 small update : There is likely to be a second row air blower as well similar to new Baleno.

C'mon!!! The manual still is the five speeder?

Whatever happened to their old statement of planning to launch 6 speed MTs in models Ertiga and above?

The K15 is a decent motor, just make it highway speed friendly.

Baleno has a 5 speed AMT - A lot of news is indicating a 6 speed TC but like you said anything is possible. IF they decided to give a AMT in their top notch hatch, they might do the same with the Brezza and sweeten the deal with pedal shifters and Sunroof to appease the buyers.
