The first gen Creta looked like a complex Oragami. The newer gens have bceome more boxy. With the lower headlights and wide grill, it looks more closer to a Eicher flat nose truck

2022 Hyundai Creta facelift unveiled

Hyundai has taken the wraps off the 2022 Creta facelift at GIIAS 2021 in Indonesia.



The updated Creta gets a Tucson-inspired front fascia. It features a large Parametric Jewel grille with integrated daytime running lights. The main headlamp clusters are positioned lower down on the front bumper. From the side, the new Creta looks identical to the current model. The SUV gets a redesigned tailgate with boomerang-shaped LED taillights.



The dual-tone dashboard has been carried over unchanged. It features a touchscreen infotainment system in the centre. The Creta also gets a 4-spoke steering wheel with paddle shifters and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.



2022 Hyundai Creta feature highlights:

• Panoramic sunroof
• Ventilated seats
• Ambient lighting
• 8-speaker Bose audio system
• Air purifier

In Indonesia, the Creta facelift is available with a 1.5-litre petrol engine that produces 113 BHP @ 6,300 rpm and 144 Nm @ 4,500 rpm. The engine is mated to either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed IVT.

Hyundai's Designers have somehow managed to make the already controversial rear-end even more in-digestible.

The Front appears to be a mix of New Gen Tucson & The Palisade.
Sadly, this combination does not seem to have worked.
One can only imagine, how this will appear, when plastered in Chrome.

The market is getting more and more crazy with all blings. Personally I feel XUV 300, Seltos all are over done with DRLs. And this will take it to next level, though might be an early comment as have not seen in person

Missing those classy headlight / DRL combo of Jetta, some of the BMWs, Audi's etc. Or I think its the sign of me getting old :-(

Respectfully: Different people have different tastes. While many BHPIans may not like the recent styling of Hyundai Creta, it still remains a prime selling vehicle with good sales numbers. The market loves it and that's all that matters to the company.

Glass half full view- it is now 50% better looking than the previous design.

I've loved the Tucson's face and I like it here as well. Will still sell based on the value proposition. It's the folk that follow CRETA's with this design in traffic that need to bear the ugliness. not the owner.

I'm not sure why Hyundai just pretty much copied over the front part of Tucson to Creta. They should have modified to create some uniqueness.

Not sure when this is come to India. With the existing version selling like hot cakes, will be very surprised to see this coming soon to India. But Hyundai is playing the game aggressively in India and also do thing they will not let the others have a foot in India, hence ADAS will come via this Creta hopefully.

Hyundai could have modified the grill a little bit more to look it more sober and elegant. But they simply decided to copy-paste it from Tucosn just like they did with the facelift of the first Gen Indian Creta.
But in my opinion it is still a good relief from the ghastly gaping grill of the existing model which is so tall even eating up to the front part of the bonet (like the current generation Innova) as if opening up one's belly and showing the intestine inside...

Hi, Do anyone have any idea, when Hyundai planning to launch its 2022 Creta in India, planning to book Creta as soon as booking open, since anyways would able to get car in next 6 months with this crazy chip shortage scenario. Thanks
