I'm guessing an September/October launch of 'Shine Plus' variant with

• Automatic Climate control

• Better Audio system
• More colours
• 16" wheels
• Disc Brakes
• Auto Headlights & Wipers
• ADAS (although i think they will limit this to the top Aircross)

Then do ATs in C3 in December 2023.

Strange decision not to launch the AT quickly. But completely in line with Citroen's tendency to demonstrate that a car with good fundamentals can be easily sabotaged with poor feature-price positioning.

Hope they wake up and do a well-priced eC3 Aircross with a larger 40-45KWH battery using the longer footprint of the car (and crashing battery pricing by Chinese battery majors). The eC3 Aircross launch can also give Citroen the chance to rejig the feature-price combo of the basic-but-overpriced eC3 to save it from being a total flop.

The 4.2 - 4.3m long petrol C3 Aircross will be in a higher GST bracket than the petrol C3. But, Electric Car GST of 5% is not limited by 4m length. That creates an opportunity to price the electric variant close to the petrol automatic C3 Aircross.

Adding ADAS as an option on such a well-priced eC3 Aircross will be a killer move. It'll sell and establish Citroen as the brand for modern and electric cars in India. Which means it is unlikely that Citroen will do it.

Updated Citroen C3 Turbo to launch in May; to get additional safety features.

C3 Turbo is currently on hold; will be relaunched with a BS6 Phase 2-compliant engine in May.

To use the same 110PS 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine with a 6-speed manual.

Turbo variants will be safer with TPMS, hill hold assist, electronic stability programme, and idle auto start-stop as standard.

A new Shine turbo variant will also be on offer with a rear camera, alloy wheels, and fog lamps.

Turbo variants are expected to command a small premium over their earlier prices.

Citroen C3 Turbo Shine variants priced from Rs 8.80 lakh

Citroen launched the top-spec 'Shine' variant of the C3 last month. Now, the C3 Turbo is also available in Shine trim with prices starting at Rs 8.80 lakh (ex-showroom).



The Citroen C3 Turbo Shine variant comes equipped with electrically adjustable ORVMs, a rear parking camera, day / night IRVM, 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, front fog lamps, rear skid plates, rear wiper, washer and defogger.

Citroen offers several safety features on the Turbo Shine variant. These include ESP, hill-hold, TPMS and engine auto start / stop. The car also comes with 36 connected car features as part of the brand's Connectivity 1.0 plan.

The C3 Turbo is powered by a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that makes 109 BHP and 190 Nm. This engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The car is also available with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 81 BHP and 115 Nm and is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.

This variant should have been there right at the launch time itself. To achieve cost cutting, they made it too barebones and lost the launch momentum. And no automatic still.

Can anyone, who has driven C3 at night, comment how effective the stock headlamps are? Is it a deal breaker from a night visibility standpoint? Thanks.

Okay, forget the incredibly idiotic move of not releasing this first and not giving a proper Auto (heck, not even an AMT!), how on earth are they missing tacho? Are there any cars other than Citroen that lack tacho in this segment? Crazy.
