Fuel pump problems for the second time! You surprise us, Honda. When the new Accord was freshly launched, initial batches had a problem with their fuel pump going kaput.....owners spending 17 lacs on a Honda didnt exactly expect to be stranded on the highway.

This is only for cars made between 2005 and 2006 though. Not the latest ones.

imagine if it is a TATA instead of HONDA

If I am not wrong... there was a recall on the CRVs for a similar issue??

I maybe wrong but I think this recall has to do with some foul smell thing[traced out to a faulty relay fuel-pump by honda] the customers in Uae reported from their cars.
In the uae along with the accord, the jazz, the civic and the Odyssey were also recalled.

Is this related to the problems we have seen reported on the forum with regards to even the Honda city as well as the Honda Civic.

Tata has done recalls in past, its called a "Retrofit".
Examples include Bigger brakes on safari, redesigned power steering etc., etc.,

then all of us here on the forum would have gone TATA bashing and cribbed and complained and even cursed tata.but since its HONDA,we will act surprised and forget it and do nothing about it.

yes. that is what i thought. in fact i wanted to post it in the morning itself , then i thought let me wait and see if anyone posts it. finally it is TSK who posted it in the evening. we can also see the replies the post elicited. it would have been totally different if it is TATA
Imagine a 17 lakh premium car with lots of snob value and all the cars sold have problem not some of them.
the problem is not just panel gaps, cheap plastics but heart of the car- fuel pump
so what happened to famed honda quality and fit and finish

Maybe because there are more TATA owners on the board, and it would affect them directly.

why only Tata? The reactions would have been the same for Chevrolet, Ford, Fiat and even Skoda.

By the way guys, before we begin this age old topic again, please take a looksi at these threads :

Honda CRV recall

NHC recall

Mercedes Recall

Swift spare tyre recall

General thread on recalls in India

If this is a recurring occurrence, then Honda will also face the same wrath.

Boy, i never knew that. :p

Hmm...Honda :Frustrati , already no safety features for poor Indians and so many recalls of different models. Why are we still buying Honda keeping them leader in all segments?

I am waiting to see if there is any recall for my brand new SX4 lol: !
