They will be provide large screen and thin bezels in top variants.

Thick bezel / small screen is for lower/mid variants. That's what most car manufacturers do these days.

Mid-spec Maruti Suzuki Swift VXI spotted at dealer yard

Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the next-gen Swift in India soon. Over the last few days, the car has been spotted at multiple stockyards across India. The latest images reveal the mid-spec variant of the Swift.

The Swift VXI gets projector headlamps with L-shaped LED DRLs and LED taillights. It has blacked-out A, B, and C-pillars, while the mirrors and door handles are finished in body colour. This variant also gets electrically adjustable ORVMs with integrated turn signals but misses out on a rear wiper.

Inside, the mid-spec VXI and VXI (O) trims are likely to get features like a 7-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, steering-mounted control, and a height-adjustable driver seat. The VXI (O) will get additional features like telematics, keyless entry with engine start/stop button, and power-folding ORVMs.

re: Fourth-gen Maruti Suzuki Swift caught testing in India. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 6.49 lakh

Swift once was a beautiful car and crazy fun to drive. The small gear stick and slick shifts made it such fun to drive. I don't know if I feel the same about this latest one.

It looks okayish I guess - keeps the family lines but the front is now a pretty ugly face. The 3cyl is a bit of a downgrade but gotta wait for a real world drive.

Hatchbacks are in a sad state similar to Sedans imo. In fact all the excitement has shifted to 20lakh+ segments.

re: Fourth-gen Maruti Suzuki Swift caught testing in India. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 6.49 lakh

I think in the coming years, hatchbacks costing above 6 lakhs like the Swift will be completely replaced by mini "SUVs" like the Punch, Exter etc., unless pocket rocket engines re-emerge in hatchbacks. Even Maruti Suzuki will have to launch the replacement of the IGNIS soon to remain in competition, as the old 4-cylinder peppy engine is now gone, including the diesel one.

re: Fourth-gen Maruti Suzuki Swift caught testing in India. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 6.49 lakh

If there is tax reduction for hybrids, this Z series engine will be made to charge the battery and Swift can become a strong hybrid, then it will come with eCVT.

If that happens then Swift becomes the number 1 city car back in the game, until then just like to read the posts, not interested to test drive also.

To me this is the best looking Swift so far. Really liked the front grille design, headlamps and the clear tail lights.

BTW, do we get the Cool Yellow Metallic color option for the Indian variant?

As ugly as it can get! Especially that rear-side..How did it even get approval for production?
I never really liked the current-gen tin-can swift, and my all time favourite was the previous second-gen swift.
But now, after seeing this new model's photos, I have started appreciating the current-gen ones everytime I see them on the road.
Suzuki is gradually killing the iconic Swift brand with the launch of each successive generation.

re: Fourth-gen Maruti Suzuki Swift caught testing in India. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 6.49 lakh

Lately I have observed a marked improvement in MSIL designs, they look neutral & would age well. The new gen Swift also looks great, its not too much on your face while looking sporty.

Although MSIL's pricing most of the times is spot-on, this time I think they would have to really undercut micro-SUVs like Punch & Exter which have eaten into B-class hatchback segment.

re: Fourth-gen Maruti Suzuki Swift caught testing in India. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 6.49 lakh

Anyone else Find the design language Hedious. I have no other words. Where is the Front bumper coming to and why the mushroom haircut like bumper and same at rest. As of one rectangle box with curves at edges another small rectangle mounted over it in the most ugliest manner possible. Present one looked better with the swift sport bumper kit atleast, what treatment will one give to this.

It is no longer Karol bhag job rather Bridal Makeup Saloon job to make it look appealing

Very sad change in direction. The old dials were sweet.
