Wow! Hyundai is miles behind and is already lagging in sales. They must upgrade the i20 for the price it is asking for.

Re: Tata Altroz facelift caught testing; New details revealed

I always felt Altroz received step motherly treatment from TML. Now this update has made me think otherwise.
This car deserves a good powertrain and proper AT gearbox (not AMT) with this update, also will there ever be a EV variant of Altroz!

No, brother. It's actually the favoured one. It got the DCA, the diesel, the Turbo petrol, which the Punch didn't. Yes, the Punch got an ev variant, but the ICE Punch is the step child here

Re: Tata Altroz facelift caught testing; New details revealed

I saw a test mule of the facelifted Tata Altroz on Pune Bengaluru highway near Pune entry toll at Shivapur.
Couldn't see an exhaust pipe and it was zipping way too fast for the 1.2 NA or even the detuned 110hp 1.2 turbo petrol and too silent for diesel.
I guess and really hope that it gets an EV variant and 120hp petrol in regular, non-racer variant which will go hand in hand with the beautiful chasis.

I waited for four years, anticipating the launch of the Altroz EV. But here we are in 2025, and there’s still no sign of it. I had to buy the Fronx instead of the Altroz, just because of that 3-cylinder engine.

Don't forget that alot of these 'fancy' features are usually quite complicated and almost certainly more difficult to fix - case in point screens on digital clusters, or AC controls. Whole units need to be swapped out which makes maintenance costs much higher.

When can we get a sedan based out of Altroz? I personally like the Tigor over the Tiago, the Dzire over the Swift. I bet the Altroz based sedan would be really good looking and practical.

It would have been, no doubt. Plus, it would have been the only diesel sedan in its segment. But then again, the sedan segment has limited numbers. The return would be far better if the same money was spent on an SUV or MPV.

Re: Tata Altroz facelift caught testing; New details revealed

Standard 6 airbags- where?
Auto-dimming IRVM-where?
Better petrol- where?
New features ( Digital steering and Instrument cluster not counted)- where?
Fully loaded AT variant- where?
Leather seats-where?

The Altroz as a mechanical package is excellent. But its not sufficient for 2025. The Racer left a bad impression me because of not having any mechanical 'racer' characteristics. Its seems Tata Motors knows how to create a good product but not how to give proper updates or special editions to it.

Re: Tata Altroz facelift caught testing; New details revealed

As a current Altroz owner, I find this facelift not appealing. Bigger screen, Bluish LED, Sunroof and Ugly steering is not something to my taste. That Bar LED brake light is not bad though.

It's one hell hot looking hatchback.
Imagining it in red and dual tone color would surely turn the heads around

Wait- The DCA got that shifter from the Nexon. I don't like it but it makes it obvious the type of customers TaMo is aiming for with these kind of small details.

Extremely overdone styling but I think that is what the market demands now. Design is more in line with current Tata offerings. I hope they ge tthe powertrain and gearbox combinations right.

Looks better than the outgoing model for sure. Wish Tata had sourced a reliable 4 cyl petrol engine for folks like me who runs <5000 KMs in a year or looking for a reliable city beater car.
