This really irritates me to no end. I had purchased a Swift ZXI Dec 2007 model and now they launch the new model. AND I was actually thinking about waiting a month so I could get the 2008 model just for better resale down the line!!!! Same thing happened when we bought the Esteem in April 2004!!! Two months later the facelifted Esteem was launched!!! Curses!!!!!

Although I won't miss the integrated stereo, the tilt steering and the clear lens headlamps are nice additions.

I am aware of pedestrian safety regulations but in this case there was no impact to absorb. The car scrapped a small tree at parking speeds (approx 0.5kmph!). I reversed the car out and realised that the bumper was misaligned near the left fender. All that needs to be done is to install the bumper again. There are no damages or scratches to repair. I don't doubt the SX4's safety features or it's ability to protect passengers.

the zxi variant would be costing arround 12000 rs more from the earlier one -tilt stearing and the rear lights along with the integrated stereo for that price is a bargain.

As long as the ZXI is considered, the main advantage of this above VXI still remains the same; CLIMATE CONTROL.
Baaki, rest of the new features are more than welcome. Keep it up, MSIL! Way to go.

Guys just confirmed, ZDi variant will not be launched in the Swift. Infact te ZDi is being launched in the Swift Dezire & not the Swift hatch. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

So, Dezire is coming in diesel! Thats good news.

But ZDi? It has to be seen how Maruti prices this one, with SX4 VXi just above it!

I think Dezire ZDi will be priced about 25-30K over SX4 VXi.

vicky.in is a nice site for lot of automotive info.
I am not able to notice any visible difference between the old and new grilles. Looks like the new swift did not get the grille from the swift style.

the difference in the grill is minimal.the old one had sharp corners and the new one have rounded corners.the new one has bigger mesh than the old one.i mean the holes.
