It Getz you everywhere! I quiet fancied that advertisement! It was an understated car which will go down as a forgotten hero. A brilliant highway performer it was.
@Max: The Accent still achieves decent sales. Moreover they advertise the Accent heavily during IPL matches. The market is not dead yet. I feel 2 more years is when the Accent can be laid to rest.

Thats right, read in ET. Hyundai has finally pulled Getz off the shelves after disappointing numbers over the past year and a half. The super hatch (I think the first) finally sees the end of the road.
A mere 1600+ units sold in 6 months. Hyundai was never able to pick up after the onslaught of Maruti Swift which literally swept the ground of Hyundai's feet.
I remember riding my Friend's Getz in 2003 on a coupe of occassion and had admired the vehicle which had more features than any existing car at that time. Hope Hyundai learns the lessons pretty fast to keep their existing star performers not to go the Getz way.
