In 30 years, i will be nearing retirement age and they will still be selling the all-new fuel cell M800.

Rofl @ 800 will lpg.Why should anyone buy it when lpg costs are sky rocketing.800 lpg will obviously be costlier than the current 800 and with a petrol 800 anyway givin such good mileage i see no point in spending anythin extra on an lpg 800.
Me being an 800 lover would definately buy a new 800(non lpg) if my budget was low,its nice, its cute, its peppy and handling is too direct and fun.

I've had an 800 for 7 years, and have loads of nice memories of it. My parents still say they want one for their use (As they are not too comfortable with driving the WagonR around town). But thinking practically, i think Alto is more than worth the stretch in budget.

Between- the 800 would be much better if they put power assisted brakes in it. (Rather than adding LPG!). Braking is one of the weakest points i have felt in the 800.

M800 Sports? I am not too sure who would want to buy this one? With all the additional accessories, it would cost as much as an Alto. And why would you call it sport without any performance enhancement?

It is time MUL gave us a good vehicle in this category. Something that looks like the Merc Smart but little bigger in dimensions with a small 600cc turbo charged engine with great FE!

The M800/Alto/Zen/W-R are too boring and old.

M-800 LPG, M-800 Sports.... whats next?
So, a TATA Xeta LPG launch has made Maruti to think all this?

Btw, when a car sells without any strain from the manufacturer, no ads, no promotions etc, then why should he stop selling it

Maruti 800 LGP, Sports, 2 door, coupe, convertible... & the list will go on & on forever.
Maruti should definitely be conferred with 'The Best Gimmicks Company of the year' award.

No manufacturer is bad at this buddie, and more over this idea was with them for some time. Its a coincidence that xeta LPG was launched simultaneously. It takes some time for a model to be launched rather than an overnight decision.

That'll either be the biggest insult or the biggest joke of the century to Indian buyers.

Good news for many!!

M800 still sells in good numbers and this move is a sure hit. Many moving from Bikes to Car still thinks of M800 as their first car. There are so many omnis with LPG in bangalore. Lets see how it goes.
