I hope they bring in the Stingray in place of Wagon R! Doesn't look bad.

So Finally, they decide to phase out the wagon R and Omni. About time. We have for long been fed with stuff which has been outdated, but lapped up in India. The Omni is one of the most dangerous cars on Indian roads by virtue of its design. Wagon R should retire. Time to breathe fresh air into the segment.

OTOH, looks like a hybrid between Swift and WagonR.

Where is the boot? Looking at the rear, I get the feeling that rear passengers head will hit the rear hatch glass.

Yes, I did heard that Maruti is planning to replace its WagonR and outdated Omni. But is the company planning to replace its Versa as well? I think Versa is doing pretty good in the car market and is rejoicing good sales as well. Then why Maruti wishes to replace that?

There were news long ago that this Cervo may replace our old M800. Nothing happened yet. Anyway, it's a cute car, no doubt.

Considering the way WagonR is selling these days (around 10,000 - 12,000 units monthly), there is no chance that Maruti may replace it with any other model. Some minor face lifts are possible.

I really hope that they launch the wagon R soon. I also hope that they dont make the car any bigger as the compact size is one of it's strengths. I see that there is a sense that the wagon R is outdated etc. but it serves a purpose , it is a simple easy to drive city car. I really hope that they keep it as it is and release the new model soon.

This thread is more than a year old now. Should team-bhp have a mechanism to prevent re opening very old threads? Just a humble suggestion from my side.

& the Omni is BS4 infact. Wonder why did they phase out M800 from BS4 cities, when that had to make the 800cc compliant to BS4 norms.

Still wonder, if they can free capacity for better (K series & exports) instead of the above... can help reduce waiting period of Swift/Dezire.

Note from Mod : Old thread, irrelevant today, hence closing.
