Hello Mr.Sfyn,

It would be great if you could brief us on the list of companies both big and small who will the participating for the show and who are confirmed. It would be great if you could lure all the super luxury car makers to participate as they were really missing in the auto Expo. Apart from Range rover/Jaguar XJ ,a Gallardo which was not an official participation and the fabulous SLS there was nothing that could make our jaws drop and turbo charge our salivary glands to pump out enough saliva to make the whole stall slippery for even visitors who are having traction control installed in their legs .

my $0.02

Mr. Sufiyan Ahmed,

I have been visiting all car exihibitions happening in Blore. Every time i visit I regret visiting.

Here is a list of common missing items:

1) Stalls mainly by local dealer and not car companies, hence lack enthusiasm
2) No Test Drives mainly for reason above. Also no proper track for test drive.
3) Few cars are locked and we can get a feel of the inside.
4) Cramped space and hence cant handle huge crowds. Blore sees huge crowd during weekends and we can hardly get a glimpse of cars in stalls, its just crawling to set stall
5) Very small exhibitions. Most of them complete in an hour
6) Stalls targeted mostly on cars and less on accessories/add-ons/etc
7) No on the spot booking goodies
8) service center related stalls (like Carnation, etc)
9) No ICE related stalls (JBL, Pioneer, etc)

I believe exhibitions here (south India) needs to be taken to next level where visitors get more than they ask!

Also, last exhibition held in Blore had some stunt show. There was no security and very dangerous for both riders and visitors.

I recall one of the Bangalore Auto Shows I went for. I think it was a year ago, it was a waste of $$. That was when Maruti Suzuki had the A-Star and SX4 for a test drive. There were a few radically modified cars which was pretty cool. And there were a few superbikes whose sound drove the crowd crazy. (Actually me too!). Well at least for this years Auto Show, they have Booster Juice as a sponsor. So i can keep myself busy with their Strawberry Sunshine and Chicken Panninis!

+1 to that.

The last auto expo conducted was a total waste of money. If i have to see domestic cars which have been around for a couple of years at least, again i am going to shoot myself. When are organisers and manufacturers going to organise something like the delhi auto expo 2010 in bangalore?

Few suggestion to Mr sfyn , it would really be a nice idea to get after market parts and upgrade dealers to the expo from places other than India(abroad if possible), and please please please make sure that you have a proper crowd management plan in hand it was very poor the last time around.

No sighs of Mr. Sufiyan Ahmed on this thread again! Guess he is busy counting...

I went there and it's quite bad. There is hardly anything of interest.

I think it's better to stay away and spend your time doing something much more worthwhile.

Hi Nikhil,

I was keen in visiting the expo just for Car duster...

Can you let me know if they have a counter? Else I would drop the plan.

Cheers
Raghu

Thanks Nikhil. I was considering leaving office early today and going there.

What exactly are displayed? At least are there any cars displayed?

I am keen on a side by side comparison of Fortuner, Endeavour, Captiva, Altis, Civic. Did you see any of these models presented?

I am also planning to visit the Expo this weekend. I have visited many of it in Palace ground but as Devang said almost all Car Auto Expo's in Bangalore are highly disorganized and crowded.

It just gives a experience of a crowded fish market, but I just visit with a interest to find some new vehicles. Last time got to see Nano, VW Beetle closely and some high end bikes. Other than the vehicles everything was horrible. Hope this time it would be good.

Only the Excon and Bus Expo are organized well in Bangalore in the Auto Category.
