After the disastrous spell with 306, Peugeot (PSA Peugeot Citroen) might want to re-enter Indian market under Citroen name!

Citroen = Decent styling + Good Diesels + Crap petrol + Iffy Handling + Soft suspension + Iffy A.S.S

Should work for us..

This is what I have been advocating all along. I owned a Peugeot 205 (GL-1184cc) in the UK during 89-91. Excelent car. The saloon version the 309 collected goo all over itself in India. PSA cars are excellent.

I hope Citroen revives its Hydropheumatique for India. Nothing can be better for our roads.

if it isn't camouflaged, then rest assured that is not the car that'll come into this market. It'll be a test mule for some other car. thats the latest trend of late. Honda is testing its diesel engines in india on the european version of the accord. likewise, VW is testing its engines on a Seat ibiza.
so now you get the picture.

Vid, you don't need anyone's permission to click anything (except people where it's good manners to ask permission, first but not strictly needed) at a public place. You didn't need his permission it's their duty to camouflage the car if they need to keep it under wraps.

Nice catch

I think we are all more or less agreed that Citroen will face less resistance than the Peugeot label in India, even though the ranges overlap a lot.

"Slap her she is French"... if y'all remember the movie by this name

The C5 oddly looks more like a German lovechild than French. Not sure how much of a snob value she may offer.

I know, I never asked him for permission. When I took out my phone to shoot, he said don't take pics. Instead or arguing I just took 2 pics when he wasn't looking.

Thanks for correcting. I think I got confused with the Peugeot model numbers.
PSA cars are excellent. Albeit comparatively expensive spares.

French Roulette C5 - Heavily buttered to take on the big German slice in India aka Merc (C-Class) + Audi (A4) + VW (Passat) + Skoda (Superb)

If Citroen places a competitive price tag on the C5 and promises good value for money, it may be worth a bite.
