As good as the car looks, I was disappointed when I drove it.

SRV (8.1L on road) was our list when we were looking for 6~8L car in 2006. Finally we went for NHC Gxi (8.4L on road).
Reasons:
1) Engine - NHC was better drive & also better FE
2) Storage space at the back.
3) Rear leg room
Surprising SRV then had front airbags but no ABS. If diesel was an option then, we have might had SRV in our garage .

Many of our members have mentioned SRV as Hatch, but it is actually a Notch back.

SRV was a very good vehicle when it was launched. I was fascinated with its looks. Only problem then I had with the car was that the cost was too high compared to other hatches available then and it was a petrol.

But now probably with a diesel engine, it might be a hot cake. It can take the optra magnum's diesel and that will do wonders for the performance oriented people.

A SRV with the Captiva engine at 6 lakhs would blow away the competition.

Even a SRV with a 90bhp engine would do wonders to GM. This is one hatch which never lets my eyes take off whenever I see it on roads, a stunner is the least I could think of this car.

Believe me, if this car gets relaunched, I would have no second thoughts to exchange my GP with it.

If they launch it with the Cruze engine, hell yeah!!

Its still one of the sportiest looking cars in India, but the lack of performance meant it never really had a shot at being considered a driver's car.

But a 2ltr 150bhp, 340nm engine on that tiny little chassis should make it a crazy little hatch.
