Spoke with someone at Navnit yesterday. The 320d executive, according to him, will NOT have leather but WILL have an A/T. I'm a little confused now.

Very Very good, I know it's bare bones but this is great at 8 lac less, all i'd add is the CD changer if it did not have a single CD unit also. Otherwise nothing that one really needs is missing.

Niiiiice price tag ! But why the runflats still !? Instead they should pass on that saving to the customers or give leather seats instead. But am glad they didn't strip the car off it's safety features!

The Superb diesel will feel that heat. Although features and comfort-wise there is no comparison, the BMW will sell merely by badge value to some.

A very nice and truly smart move by BMW. Should start teaching a lesson to other bad boys . The features lacking are not something that you'd sorely miss. Leather seats instead of run-flats could have been nice but I'm not complaining. With that stonker of an engine and the price point (in India) it makes for both a very good head and heart buy.

Nice move, but not sure if I will be interested in a BMW without leather seats, blue tooth, CD changers etc - Of course yes, if it comes with Manual Transmission

Good to see the Bimmer/beemer at an affordable range. What is going to be the OTR ? 25 - 27 L ?

Really gives those in the market with 22-24 lakhs to spend a long pause to think, the features missing are superfluous, the core of the car in terms of engine, power etc and safety is there for BMW enthusiasts, for the luxury inclined perhaps it loses its appeal but just by a little bit.

There will be a lot of sulking and tantrums from from current 3 series owners, who may feel a loss of value and exclusivity though frankly I have never understood that logic.

Could this also have black interiors instead of beige combo? Yummy.

They needed to get rid of the RFT to reduce it further. Just does not make sense here in India.

So what about the cup holders?

Another nice move. Hope the manufacturers make these variants permanent and try and keep the prices at this level.

Do these guys allow a completely configurable option?

It is a very good Marketing strategy against the likes of VW, Honda, Toyota & Skoda's & will eat in to their share in the market.

However having said that, If i ever went for such a car, i would rather spend 30 & get all of those feature which are NA in 23 lakhs but thats just me

good move by BMW! This will now be an option for people looking to purchase something in that budget range.
Good to see no safety features have been deleted for the "cost-cutting".
