And the Panda looks good IMO. Better than the Wagon R, Estilo, Santro and the Ritz. FIAT definitely needs to bring it here.

When can we expect such an interior in a Palio in India... too much to ask for eh?

It will probably take ages.
Why should india not be treated at par with Brazil??

The diff in pricing is not so great with regard to palio and GP . The GP is costlier by a lakh only and given the dimensions the interior , exterior the GP makes sense to buy .

On the other hand I like the new UNO = mille on the brazil site . If the UNo is reintroduced as mille with a 1.3 multijet detuned and a 1.2 GP petrol detuned engine or a 1 litre engine with a price tag of 2.7-3.2 lakhs the car makes immense sense to buy .

I dont think ppl wud be bothered about looks , interiors if the UNO was offered with the multijet and a fuel effeciency of 20-22 kms/l

Im quite excited about the 2010 Fiat Palio, considering that Palio Stile 1.1 and 1.6 had very few takers and Fiat needs to improve the Palio brand with quality and mileage.

Fiat should take off the name Palio from the brand to make it sell. Because even though the car is very good, its associated value with the brand name is very poor. Probably novo stilo or whatever name, but the name palio disappearing can bring in a few more numbers than palio is what I think.

For Gods sake stop !!
Don't know why FIAT does so always. People still like the first model of the PALIO, second model was good because of the flamboyant head lights. But this version shown is so sick. Looks like some sick electric vehicle. Don't tell me guys that they planning to get it in Indian soon.

IMHO, considering that Palio Stile 1.1 and 1.6 had less takers, FIAT should stop selling Palio and concentrate on Punto and Linea.

FIAT has messed up its image big time with name PALIO due to its bad A.S.S.

only way they can attract or boost confidence of potential buyers is by supplying spares for existing Palio owners and better service for Punto / Linea!

My friend, who is working at Ranjangaon on this (Palio) project tells me that it will be rolled out some where in April.

Interiors will get major shakeover. I really love the Palio, it has ageless design. Not sure though how it will sell...

Any word on the engine options - Is the 1.6 petrol still going to be available?
