2004 Toyota Corolla 1.8E, 79,842 km as of today. No rattles at all. No mechanical problems either.
2000 Hyundai Accent (sold 2007) did well for 6 years. Then the exhaust pipe and the brackets holding it rusted and started rattling and blowing.

MY 2008 i10 era is holding well after 6 years of service. Have done 73000 km, and still does not have any major rattles or squeaks.

My Linea TJET has done 10000 kms, in 6 months. Till now there are no major rattles.

So far, I am very impressed with the Etios and Liva.

Driven around on the terrible roads of Mumbai, they do a fantastic job!

True my 3 years old Etios petrol at Kolkata with 32,000 kms on the odometer is absolutely rattle free despite of driving it on many bad roads.
Been on a 83,000 kms done Etios cab (Diesel) at Delhi. Was surprised to found that car rattle free too.

Our Fiat Uno petrol at Kolkata from 2000-2013 with 107,000 kms was totally free of rattling.

My Maruti Alto Lx at Bangalore from 2008 to 2011 with 47,500 kms was rattle free too.

On contrary on our 2013 Alto k10 at Kolkata with 6k on the odometer, we had to address for rattling sounds twice. Still sometimes a 'kat kat' sound is audible from the Ac vent which is yet to be addressed.

I will not let any rattles be. I've owned over the years just about any number of cars and there have been a few rattles, but I fix them and I wont rest until I find the problem and fix it.

Current fleet, Jaguar XJR, Mercedes W123, Alfa Romeo Spider, Ford Fiesta and until recently Jeep Cherokee are all rattle free. All of these cars have done between 100.000 and 230.000 kilometers. The Mercedes is 32 years old and not a rattle not a squeek. The Spider has been the most rattle prone. They suffer badly from scuttle shake and that 'rattles' various other parts long term. But nothing I haven't been able to fix

I get very agitated when I hear anything out of the ordinary, be it a rattle or whatever other noise. It drives my wife bonkers, because 9 out of 10 times she doesnt hear it at all. So I tell her, put your hand on the glovebox door, press it, now feel a little more to the right, apply some pressure, is it less, etc. etc. Makes for an entertaining driving experience.

Baleno-

9 Yrs old, 130000 kms, 4th set of tyres. No rattles. Awesome Japanese Technology and build quality. ( Most of the parts are Japanese made- SGP)
Legendary reliability. Consistent FE since beginning.

RESPECT!!!

A Skoda Fabia 1.4 manufactured in Nov 2008, which i purchased in Jan 2009. No rattles whatsoever. Truly, built like a tank. This poll is not covering a lot of cars that probably don't have interiors that rattle after significant use (my cousin's Fiat Palio did not have a single rattle after 4 years of extensive use).

Linea Tjet, Almost 4 years in Mumbai with dilapidated roads yet no single squeak. keeping my fingers crossed. :)

Fiat Punto (2009), 5 years & counting. Not a squeak. Its interiors are criticized a lot for not being modern. But it kind of grows on you over time & gives a cocoon kind of feel. Plastic quality however could have been a notch better.

But zero rattles. Touch wood :D

My Yeti doesn't rattle. Three years in and going strong. Bad roads of Bangalore taken peacefully in its stride.

Our 5.5 year old Chevy Aveo does not rattle or creak after >50k kms.

Only NVH inside the cabin has gone up, don't know if it's due to weakened insulation, harsher engine or rougher tyres.

Hyundai Verna, 2011. Even with the torturous roads of Karnataka, not a single rattle till now.

Our 2011 Swift ZDi, not a single rattle. Done 44K and its been 33 months. The compliant suspension and change to Michelin XM2 at 30k helped I reckon. :)

Hey. Commendable effort but Your survey has a bunch of statistical biases. Not everyone owns the cars you have mentioned. So the result will be skewed on
1. to the relative ownership numbers of the cars listed
2. to the percentage distribution of the number of Team bhpians that own these cars
3. to the extent of bhpians that dont know about some of the cars listed.

For instance, the Vento does not rattle. But it scores low?

My 2013 Fiat Grande Punto 90 hp doesn't rattle at all, after 39 k kms in 14 months, inspite of the torturous Kerala roads.

Wow, glad to hear that! did you take any special effort like change in driving style(slowing down on bad roads).
