What do you say guys, its better to get this done or not ?
If a Ford rep talked to you, it must be genuine. Get it done at the earliest. What thermostat are they talking about? the AC, or the engine? My AC thermostat is working perfectly fine. I'll mail them tonight and find out if my car is on the list. Did you email the custmail ID?

The engine fan turns on and off depending on the temp. Do you feel your fan is running continuously? I can't even feel the fan turning on and off in the Fiesta. It is ultra quiet. Does it even have a fan? lol

Gilead, chill man

The problem is with the High/Low fan running continously without cut-off! AND, this problem is specific to cars manufactured very recently (3-6 Months). I beleive our cars are already old enough

That I guess is the A/C thermostat. LOL

Neither can i notice whether the fan is running or not. With the diesel engines clatter, i guess this sound gets drowned.

You wont miss it when the radiator fan comes on. Especially if you have the clutch or brake pedal pressed, you can in fact feel the vibrations. It rarely comes on, and in all the two years I've had the car, it has come on only a handful of times. Mostly, when idling with AC on, when stopped, on a hot afternoon.

I mailed Ford this morning asking them if my car was on the list. They just called and confirmed that it is not.

Just mail them your vehicle Regn No. and dealer name and ask them if it's on the list. Will not even take a couple of minutes of your time. You will know for sure either way.

Ignorance to be pardoned.

Guys.

Got the thermostat replaced today. Car seems to cool faster than before. It was supposed to be a 2 hr job but MPL ford took a whole day because of backlog of vehicles. They have done a good job except the time taken and some lousy cleaning

"Cool Faster" means - was the replacement related to A/C thermostat?
